Had a very spendy day yesterday as we had to do our big weekly shop and spent a whopping £95. Toiletries and laundry supplies were included in that figure as almost everything needed topping up. We are optimistic that we wouldn't need to buy any more during the week. We'll have to make do with what we've got in stores as we are down to the last £80 for the grocery and household budget for the rest of the month, and £40 for the petrol budget. On a more positive note, we did get a good ys haul last night, including 10pc tray of eggs for 14p, 3pc pink lady apples for 9p, cucumber for 19p, 8 or 9 pcs lemon and lime pack for 9p, salad pack for 9p, a pot of basil plant for 9p, pot of chives for 9p, crunchy stir fry vegetables for 19p, egg fry noodles 69p (we had this for dinner last night and today's packed lunches x3 - chicken chow mein for less than £2) roast chicken for £2.40, 2 pairs of newborn shorts (for my soon-to-be born nephew) for 50p, a long sleeves shirt for £1.20 and a nice party dress for my niece (going to my Christmas pressie stash) for £4. I also earned 21 points plus 200 bonus points and a voucher for 6p off per liter of fuel (to be used this weekend when my petrol runs out). A good shop I'd say. Plus I picked up a handful of receipts to be uploaded on cos and csnap and one of the receipts yielded £3.40 APG.

I used £10 of Nectar points towards my Vue cinema ticket today to watch the Danish Girl. So I got to see a brilliantly acted film for only £2,05 in a luxurious West End cinema. :T
Used a £2 Healthy Living voucher on this week's shopping.

Tesco was heaving (half term) plus it was raining so the bargain YS section was a bit of a bun fight. Completely forgot the bread I'd put on my list but did get a leg of lamb that was marked down by £3.40, a luxury bath foam that was a third of it's original price, some half-price ham and some other promotional bargains
No self-service till roadkill though...humph...
Also found a pair of rubber-palmed workmens' gloves that the stonemason left behind in the front porch, so have washed those carefully and they've come up as good as new! I need a pair of gloves for cleaning out the chickens (4 eggs today) so these will come in very 'handy'...groan...They are rather big though, so I look a little funny but a great womble. I'll value them at 50p and each egg at 10p.
Total for today with all that added up = £13.25.0 -
I took the girls to the science museum where we have a family pass, and put our coats in a locker. Just because we were alone in the locker room, I opened the lockers on either side to see if people had removed their deposit. They hadn't!
