What a great quote Sugarbaby "We are always more than the sum of our meagre finances." I love that. And what an inspirational story from your own experience.

Bobarella - We started a new business about seven months ago, but as yet, whilst we're both working 24/7 at it, we have hardly earned a penny from it. I still do some freelance work on top where I can to earn some money, do surveys etc and OH has a class he teaches weekly, but we're earning next to nothing. I know new companies take time to establish, so I'm not ready to give up on it.

I think it's hit OH hard as we have his family coming for Christmas and he feels a failure right now. I try to be positive, but as I do generally earn more, I understand the male pride thing.

Both being self employed, we get no help from anywhere. We're not in debt as such - mortgage and I manage to clear the credit card every month (only use for online purchases for security reasons) but we don't want to get into debt.

I know maybe I'm on the wrong board, but you are all so inspirational for making things come together I use you all for inspiration.

On the plus side, I had £7.78 from Neobux this morning.

I know EXACTLY what it's like. I started my first business 4 years ago. Have recently started a new business. Went from an excellent salary when employed to zero or barely zero for very long periods. It is so hard keeping on at it when the money doesn't come in, or when it does it belongs straight to someone else. I've worked myself into the ground at times.
All I can advise it trying to work around your business if possible, in my own case it wasn't as it was very physical work and I'd just want to fall in a heap when I got home, put the kids to bed, tried to keep the house up together.
The other thought is that you bring someone else on board to share the load. I don't know if there is any ability to do that?

Well, I remembered to take it home, and then brought it back to work, because I'd forgotten he had a day off and would stay at home! :rotfl:
