Some of your totals are great.

    Hello everyone,
Apolgies for having gone AWOL for some time. I've still be wombling and updating the signature. I just haven't known what to say.

We're finding things increasingly tight, especially with Christmas coming and OH hit rock bottom the other day. Not quite sure what we're going to do yet.

    Will keep slogging on...

Really sorry to hear that Autumn. What is causing the financial crunch particularly?

Hugs for you Autumnleaves - hope things start to improve for you soon hun x Christmas is a stressful time and especially so if money is tight.

I've made £4 this week from egg sales, got £1 washkill and thrupence roadkill. I used a Tesco voucher which saved me £14 plus a 50p coupon so total so far this week = £19.53.

Is Wayne back on the scene Sugarbaby?

Ooh, ooh...forgot a box of choccies from DH's boss as a thank you for hosting a bonfire night. I'll claim £3, taking my total up to £22.53 :D
  • Autumnleaves sorry to hear that life is a bit grim for you and your husband at the moment. Sometimes the journey to being debt free seems too long and arduous, but the end goal will definitely be worth it. Have you explored the free activities being laid on in your area? you need to have pleasurable moments to look forward to that have no cost or minimal cost to you and your husband. Christmas on a budget is doable. Last year, I was on Benefits, having lost my job some months before. I was proud of the fact that I managed to save £40 to pay for extra Christmas food. When family asked what I wanted for Christmas, I asked for money and that way I had the finances to buy the extra New Year food and bought myself presents in the January sales that I really appreciated. Best of all I had a real family Christmas with lots of laughter and fun. We are always more than the sum of our meagre finances.

Dizzy Imp, yes Wayne and I are a couple once again. As Wayne said he is on a 'learning curve' with me. Now when we are on a date, he is very attentive and he finally realises that trying to rush me into marriage with him is not attractive to me. I like having the space to be independent and to pursue the leisure activities that really interest me as much as I like spending time with Wayne. We understand each other better now.

Bob you are fantastic at No Spending Days
