Well my family have had a good morning! They were trying to top up their train tickets and the machine kept spitting money OUT!! They got a £10 note and other people were given coins. How amazing is that!

Wow £5 nice! Was that a note? That skirt sounded er interesting ;)

Thank you yes the food has gone a long way! Tonight I did YS turkey breasts for DS and DH, which I'd had in already. I had a portion of beef pie I'd frozen a while ago (home made) the puff pastry of which had come back from a different event. I did ours with mash, fried onions and frozen peas, DS had fries.
I honestly don't think you can start really pushing down on your grocery spends until you make the decision to never waste food, not to throw anything out unless it's gone bad, and to see money and not food when you look at everything.

Sugarbaby well done!!! You are amazing!

My own wombles today were two torn Mr S coupons, one for triple points on the next shop and one for 120 points for buying baby toothpaste. I will use both of those so I took them home and sellotape them :) hopefully they will still go through the

I have also managed to obtain an item of clothing my son needed for school from another Mum instead of buying it. She doesn't want anything for it. I will claim a nominal £10.

5p roadkill via my husband, and I borrowed his PAYG oyster card so I didn't pay for travel today. Saving £3.

All in all a good day :)
