When things were really tight I used to add up my spend on my calculator as I went round. Then I would have noticed. But not now.
I used to do this too. I'm so glad that now I can ease up a little, but I still do a little estimate at the till to make sure there are no nasty surprises.
My wombles this weekend are:
OH took me out for a meal, which I wouldn't normally claim but we used a 50% off voucher so will claim a womble of £8.
Bought three big packs of chewing gum reduced so wombled £1.65

Florence yes I am the same. I always shop with a list so I know if I'm spending £10 or £40 but not £11.55 or £41.20 anymore.
What always surprises me is how many people there are in the supermarket with trollies piled high. They must waste so much." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

My wombling continues
a colleague at work who I've spoken to about my successes of selling on Facebook rang me he other week, he sadly informed me that his mother had passed away and that he would be sorting through her possessions. He said that there are some belongings which he was going to donate to a charity shop but decided I could have them to sell if I was happy to go 50:50 on anything I made, I happily said yes!
Yesterday I picked up 3 large boxes, the first box contained 115 records, the other contained CDs and the other had a tonne of old football videos in. I've music magpied the CDs to a total of £12.75, I I'll have to wait until I hear back from music magpie regarding their final valuation as the valuations they give on their app are always rough! But it's still money
I've had a record collector friend skim over the records, he's said there is nothing mega exciting in the box so i will sell them as a job lot!
As for the football videos, I don't think I will get much at all, if anything, for them but I'll give it a shot.
I'll post a picture later and keep you guys informed as to weather or not I sell anything:D:D

Sugarbaby You are always doing fun nights out but keeping your spends low. Very impressive.
Foxholes well done on your Mr T points.
Azzzaa Do report back. One suggestion, if you have a Cex nearby it is worth comparing the price as often MM don't pay as well." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

I've neglected this thread for too long! I've been wombling away but not having time to update or record all my finds. How annoying
Anyhow, got £5.22 saving on my food shop today with promos and price match vouchers, a large punnet of home-grown tomatoes from my friend (claiming £1) and 6 eggs from the girls, so 60p there too. I'll update my signature tonight to show my new total...
Good luck with the 50:50 challenge Azzzaa0 -
Hi Bob, I would not enjoy nights out if they involved a big personal spend.
I bought myself a new pair of Clarks black leather ankle boots for £30.85 on eBay saving myself £44.15 on the current selling price in Clarks :j
