Ooh, you lucky thing Sugarbaby. I'd love a massage at that price!

Our wonderful NDNs are away for a few days and have asked us to pick and use any soft fruit that ripens in their garden while they are on holibobs. DH and I picked just under 3 kilos, yes, kilos, of delicious raspberries in 25 minutes. Started off some raspberry vodka liqueur and used all the sugar, so off to the shops tomorrow. Goodness knows what that weight of raspberries would cost in the shops  I'm going to claim £5, which I think is reasonable?

    Cheers!

Dizzy Imp, our local A1di is charging €2,25 for 125 grammes, so 3 kilos would be €54 = GBP 46!

I earned 8 loyalty points on wombled receipts, and had 2 wraps from a leftover business lunch (still in its plastic wrapper) for €4,25 each. They will do for mine and dh's lunch today.
My parents bought garbage bags for us; they are sold by the council and include a 'waste tax', and cost €2 each. My parents bought 3 rolls of 30 for us! That's a gift worth €180!

Wombled £5 off my shopping through the following....

£1 off voucher from everyday caring on listerine
£2 off voucher from writing to johnson and johnson (bought clean and clear face scrub, £2 in Sainsbury's)
£2 off voucher from writing to kelloggs (bought 510g rice krispies on sale for £2 in Sainsbury's)

Also went to Dentist and got a free sample of sensitive toothpaste as have been suffering from sensitivity. Will claim £1.

Also in Sainsbury's used a voucher to get 40 bonus points on spending over £1.75 on pasta. So 20p

Also in Sainsbury's used a voucher to get triple points on a £6 spend (so 9p)

Also finally took my wombled receipts to the till to add on (5p)

    Total £6.34

In sainsbury's they are selling cheap some table and homeware stuff in the exact same colours and similar design to my parents beloved plate collection, so will stock up tomorrow and that will be their christmas present.

A brie baguette and a veggie salad leftover from a business lunch, and the caterer gave two pieces of cake as a thankyou (and as a teaser/taster, of course), which went home with me and were shared between the four of us for dessert. I will claim 14,25 (the salad is insanely expensive).

I'm nervously reporting another two and a bit kilos of raspberries from my neighbours fruit patch. I'm going to claim £4, but realise that to buy this quantity in the supermarket would be astronomical. Do you think I should offer some money to them when they arrive back on Friday? I hasten to add that I have left a monumental amount on the bushes which will ripen up splendidly a few days, so I haven't been greedy, just incredibly lucky :D

I bought a new freezer today (replacing the one flood damaged) to begin the long-term storage of an expected bumper fruit crop, judging by the number of plums and apples already growing on the trees. We are also planning to plant a forager's hedgerow with sloes, pears, crab apple, hazel and plums all featuring, so it won't be long before we are self-sufficient :rotfl: Just have to come round to the idea of ringing a chicken's neck or sending a piggy off to slaughter to attain DH's dream country life.
