Thanks.
None of those things worked sadly
I'm going to supermarket later, see if they have any cheap CD-R's or CD-RW's, just to test the drive as it may be the discs for all I know.
All pre-recorded things i have purchased are fine, it's just the stuff I have recorded and the burning that is struggling
Thanks all for the help.......any other ideas, please let me know0 -
Not being mean, but re-arrange these words to come up with a well knowm piece of metaphorical advice:

I'll try the new CD's, but after that.....well, I'm under warranty, just have to get them out to replace it again0 -
Well, it said it recorded a CD but would not close the session. When I re-booted and went to close the CD, the seesion had no tracks
Off out in 10 to get a CD (if they have any cheap) If not, I'm getting one in poundland tomorrow :rotfl:0 -
I don't believe it - 25 Tesco CD-R's @ 5.97 - come back, record, close CD, play, re-boot, insert CD, Play............perfect!
I must have a duff set of TDK's! Grrr, where do I complain.....maybe they can send me vouchers :rotfl:
I THINK I have found the problem, it may turn out, that this was a lucky CD, so will try again.
Thanks for ALL of your support, If I could buy you 100 thanks, I would0 -
Depending on how long you have had the TDK you may be able to take it back the shop and get a refund. You would, ideally, need to test the TDK on another writer to make sure it wasn't a compatibility problem with your type of writer.0

the last lot I bought were from Jessops (photographic shop) I got 100 samsung cdr for £13 down from £14.99.Havent had a single dud. I bought my last lot of dvdr from them too and had no problems. They dont come with jewel cases but you can easily find them or use the little plastic wallets from maplins.0

Had them a fair while, possibly nearly a year. It's not a huge issue, but who would have thought it? Burned 12 CD's last night/this morning, all fine0
