WooHoo. Christmas Eve:T
Christmas story on between 9 and 10 and again between 6 and 7,sorry to be vague. If you get chance I would like the opinions of Christmas people.Vx:0 -
woo hoo its xmas eve :j
gtq all that poking and prodding isn't much fun and its concerning when they do need to do more tests but try not to stress too much fingers crossed for good news
Fran re the wrapping clothes depends on the kid and the reaction you want. Taz would be happy as its extra presents to open as 1/2 the time that's more exciting than the actual contents but he's just like oh its clothes whats next unless its something character based.
Had a fun day yesterday not took the kids out to do some last minute bits and 15 mins in taz managed to fall flat on his face which wouldn't have been so bad but landed funny and hurt his wrist which swelled up like a balloonIt looks like its just a bad sprain thankfully but hes now all bandaged up and sporting some lovely scrapes and bruising on his face.
lazy day planned today we're baking cookies for santa later and than out for dinnerafterwards its the xmas eve hamper, xmas movies and chilling till bedtime. I do have a couple of last minute bits to wrap but that's just popping into gift bags as they have been easier to store un bagged.

Happy Christmas eve everyone. Had a lovely day at my brother's wedding yesterday. It would have been even better if I hadn't have woken up with a migraine, but I managed, I was just worried about letting people down. It was decorated fabulously, the wedding breakfast (well, what I could manage of it) was very tasty, and there were lots of lovely personal touches as well. After a nap while they were turning the room around for the evening, I felt quite a bit better and even had a little dance. (not always normal for me!)
I'm just going to try and get a few things sorted, as we've got friends coming over this afternoon to exchange presents, and then to my parents this evening for their Christmas Eve party (Christmas version of the after wedding party Barbie they threw for me and my husband 6 1/2 years ago.)0 -
:xmassign: to everyone - hope that the last minute preparations are going to plan.A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

Popping on to wish every fellow Christmas nutjob on here a Wonderful Christmas and a very Happy and Healthy New Year!
I actually prefer Christmas Eve but today everything I have touched has gone to pieces! Woke up to a massive leak under the sink this morning all under the kickboard and across the kitchen- its sorted now and at least it given the kitchen floor and extra wash lol.
I hope everyone's plans are in place and going well, Im off to track Santa on Norad in a bit (yes I am 51 and still believe enough to track him even though my lot pull my leg something rotten for it! I always say he is as real as I am (which is true when you think about it)).
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!lovin' this site!

Merry Christmas for tomorrow everyone! Not sure if I'll be on again before the big day. And tomorrow I imagine I'll be too busy eating my weight in goodies. :rotfl:
Hope everyone enjoys the day and has chance to relax. :santa2:“In 900 years of time and space, I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t important”

Thanks mandco, I think he'd love them if they were under the tree, he likes clothes and shopping, but it might be just another job and he'd be as excited and surprised to find them in the suitcase unwrapped.
Happy birthday for tomorrow Chrissy.
Merry Christmas for all for tomorrow!
I've made and par baked cinnamon rolls for tomorrow, they have ground coriander, cardamon and star anise in them too. Mmm they smell good.
Everything is sorted, just got to wait for the big man to drop off the gifts if we've been good enough. I'm a bit disappointed, the neighbour showed DS the Santa tracker earlier today. I wanted to do it for the first time with him tonight. Never mind! She wasn't to know.0 -
Hi everyone, Was going to post early this morning but didn't just as well since things have changed since then.
My Dad went into hospital on Monday and was discharged today. He has been told he has unstable angina and had a stent fitted yesterday. My parents were going to have both Grannys for Xmas dinner, whereas we were just going to be us 4. As the hospital couldn't guarantee that Dad would be out for Christmas, as it depended on when the stent could be fitted, Granny 1 is now going to a Neices and Granny 2 staying at her nursing home. I invited my parent(s) to us.
This is what I would have posted this morning. Tidying up we moved our table in order to sweep the floor underneath. In doing so we knocked the switch on the oven which fell off. It had snapped off. We rang our insurance cover company. They had no engineers working in our area today. Dinner is now at my parents
The kids (teens) have been being ungrateful brats today and I've been in tears more than once over it all.
On the plus side, all the presents are wrapped and I found a veggie roast for DD shortly before stores closed.
