Hi everyone

Hope you're all feeling suitably Christmassy- 13 days!
Just thought I would share the hamper I made for OH's brother and sister in law. We bought them a Dolce Gusto machine last year so this year we bought them a box of every variety of pods they had in Asda- 13 boxes :rotfl: OH just wanted to wrap them in normal Xmas paper but I thought it would be nicer to display them in a hamper. I had the cellophane already but as the basket was so big didn't want to wrap it totally so I just put the cellophane over the top. The boxes are padded round with self shredded tissue paper and I lined the basket with a sheet of tissue too. The basket is a magazine rack from Dunelm
(only one I could find big enough to hold them all) and the ribbon is also from Dunelm. Very proud of it- think it looks lovely!

Thanks for the ideas where to get Christmas bags. They must have sold out in a lot of places where I am. Wilkos just had the 50p ones I picked up. HB and Asda didn't have any. I ended up picking up a 10p bag for life one from Sainsbury's which was all they had. Later today I'm wrapping and transferring then I'll see what else I need bag wise.
I've booked today off work, due to attending a Christmas party last night, woke up with raging thirst and can't nod back off.

Have woken with a rotten cold so that explains the sleeplessness yesterday.
We got 2 trees up yesterday. The house looks like a tornado has hit.Empty decoration boxes everywhere.I will have to try and tidy a bit as the plumbers are coming later.
Today is the day I go to a local school to road test the Christmas story my son has written. He is 25 btw, sounds like he is about 10!
I am getting excited now,not long to go.The decorations have made all the difference for me.last year we only had minimal as we were in a building site.I will compensate this year!
Hope everyone who is poorly is feeling better soon. Vx:0 -

Hi everyone, I came and put a foot in your lovely Christmas door for a while, then I disappeared. I'm tentatively re-entering. I've had a bit of a downslide but am going to try to be more positive.
I have about 20 pages to catch up on, but just wanted to say a huge thank you for all the advent help a while back.
Hugs and love to all x:xmassmile:rudolf:0 -
Hello all,
Nice to see a thread where people seem to be as excited about Christmas as I am! :-)
I've had a pretty good 2016 - I seem to be on a bit of a lucky streak this year, I won two big prizes one after the other in a charity raffle at an event earlier this year and then won another very big prize at random at a sci-fi event later in the year. I also got a promotion at work and also got to tick off a couple of things I've always wanted to see/do.
My only request for 2017 would be to meet someone special - that would be the icing on the cake for me! :-)
I'm very picky about what Christmas presents and cards I buy - I've been very busy getting presents for friends and family over the last few weeks. I really like to get the right present for the right person and it's not unheard of for me to spend a couple of hours in town looking for the right card for someone either. I know I'm strange!0 -
Congratulations princesskitty, sorry to hear you're feeling so unwell.
I hope everybody had a lovely weekend. I did some wrapping this weekend, finally! I have family & friends gifts under my tree now, mostly wrapped and ready to go. I have to start the mammoth task of wrapping our daughters presents soon though as I have once again left it until the last minute and I am so busy this week too so looks like i'll be having marathon wrapping sessions next weekend. Problem is I actually enjoy wrapping when I have the time to wrap neatly and make the presents look pretty, but when I leave it to the last minute I get fed up after an hour so everything just looks like I threw the paper over it and hoped for the best http://static.moneysavingexpert.com/images/forum_smilies/laughing-smiley-014.gif0 -
