Free, thank you. Happy birthday to Thumper.
I had a lovely weekend. One with no dancing I volved for a change. I took the kids to see the stage production of Chitty chitty bang bang on Friday night, at the Kings theatre in Glasgow. It was eccellent. It had Jason Manford, Phil jupitus and Claire Sweeney in it. The kids thought it was amazing. Then on Sat night I took them on a pumpkin trail in the woods. It's usually a Fairy trail with wee fairy doors on trees and explanations etc. It's great as it is. But all weekend they had hundreds of pumpkins all carved and donated by the folk of the town. The kids thought it was great getting to be out in the woods in the dark. It was pitch black apart from the pumpkin lights and other folk all with torches.
Then yesterday was the Christmas craft fair thing. So all in it was a busy but a nice weekend.
Shame it has to end and Monday morning is here again. X:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

Ok, it's the last day of the month so here's my stocking challenge for October. I didn't have a glass of anything for Santa so he's got hot chocolate. I still need to get a fire so have borrowed one I made for one of the dollshouses - it doesn't quite fit but it gives the general idea. It's all set inside a foolscap box file. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0

GTQ- Ive just realised after saying it was a tad early for decorations that I still have my HB stag on the sideboard! Oops! (not putting him away though!)lovin' this site!

Oh my goodness, I am loving all the stocking challenge items that you've all been posting. Very clever bunch of people we have here!
GTQ - a girl I work with came in today and said her neighbour has their decs up too. I absolutely love Christmas but even I admit that it's a bit too early. We at least need to get Halloween out of the way first. I can't wait to put my decorations up but we will wait until after bonfire night & probably put them up the weekend after that : )
On the Halloween front, we have got quite a few decs put up this year for our house & a lot of people in our area have really made an effort too, so I think trick or treating will be fun tonight. We are going to take our little one out just around the few blocks by us and to the houses of our friends who we know are doing Halloween stuff, but I won't let her knock on all the houses as I know that there are some people who don't do anything for Halloween and won't answer the door anyway. Our rule is we knock on the doors of friends and if a house is fully kitted out with Halloween decorations then we will give them a knock, but otherwise we leave people in peace. Our friends are coming round to our house then so that the kids can give out treats to any trick or treaters that we get at our house. I hope we get loads knocking the door because we have SO MUCH!!

MURIE that's gorgeous, so stylish. That's two in a row now when we've done the same thing or used the same base. Wonder if it'll be three in a row next month
How did you do the fireplace and did you print the wording or hand write it ooh and where did you get the card? Can you tell I'm thinking of 'borrowing' your idea?
LMG we haven't done any Halloween decs this year, I think because DGD isn't here as it's a school day this year and not in half term. We've got plenty of sweets in though in case we get lots of callers. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
