Evening everyone, i have been thinking about doing an online course for a year or so and finally plucked up the courage today to buy one off Groupon, its nothing special like a qualification just a certificate one, learning how to be a Wedding Planner :rotfl:i know :rotfl:me........... It just looks so interesting and i thought it would help when DD2 gets married, i am not about to go into business
MURIE you would be proud of me i even went through Quidco and earnt cashback (theres hope for me yet) first time ever.
MURIE wow the spread and the table decs looked fabulous! The cake fiasco... The cake fiasco if that cake is a fiasco lady then i think you need to go to specsavers it is gorgeous, i bet DD was chuffed to bits with it, i cant believe you did all that in so much pain and one handed you clever lady! I have followed you back on instagramIt is our dogs turn for bath tomorrow night so my yankees will be coming out too, although huskys dont have a doggy smell but it still smells a bit to me
GETTINGTHEREQUICKLY you sound as if you are going to be loaded to the hilt i hope you have help with all the cases. Well done on the cakes that is so organised. Good Luck vibes heading your way for your DB i hope he gets and enjoys his new job
CHRISSY so do i, so do i, everyone looks at me as if i am from another planet when i say i hate hot summers, my favourite time of year is Autumn
PEPPAPIG i have followed you on instagram, no i dont take statins but the way i am going this year there is still time :rotfl:well i have drunk 1.5 l today and have another 1.5 l tomorrowI hope DH is ok?
MRSMONEYPENNY glad you had a lovely day!
MONEYMISSION yes it is a sad state of affairs that something nice happening is a minority in todays world. Those poor people all having a fab time enjoying themselves, families ripped apart it is beyond comprehension what is going through these evil peoples minds before they carry out such atrocities. I think its brilliant you mostly have christmas pjs :rotfl:

They are lovsly and look like intricate face paint when they arsstuck on. Also got the hand stickers and they have got body stickers too. Worth a look for stocking fillers

Will catch up when I get up later ,,0 -
Mrs Moneypenny-happy belated Birthday!!
Nit nurse- I have lost DAYS doing ' 5 minute jobs'!
GTQ- I don't know how on earth you managed to cook all those cakes in this heat on Sunbday! My kitchen was like a furnace when I was cooking, I cant imagine how hot yours must have been cooking for that length of time! Well done, you deserve a holiday after all that.
Princesskitty- hope Wiggle is letting you sleep a little more x
Peppa- Im like that with spraying too, I keep thinking I will be light handed and then I go and ruin it and get runs in it cus I don't leave it long enough. I have followed you on instagram too. How is DGS now? Does the reduction in chemo mean the treatment will go on for longer?
04624181 I was up at silly o clock too as DD and her BF were off to the airport at 4am.
Moneymission- yup, I always think its best to have too much than too little to offer guests. No one can ever say they leave my home hungry lol. I also provide doggy bags!!
Chrissy- when I say there is a doggy smell in the house what I really mean is that IT STINKS! Even Yankee Candles don't completely mask it, and everywhere we walk clouds of fur drift along behind us like those brushwood rolls you see in the desert! She is much cooler now though hopefully as I have brushed the equivalent of 4 dogs worth of fur off her since her bath.
Free_ there is NO stopping you now!!!And quidco too! Im so happy for you that you took the plunge and enrolled in something that is of interest to you (and will be of use too!) How is the cystitis? Good luck with bathing your hound- Ruby HATES it with a passion! Im always worried that she will have a heart attack as she shakes and cries so much. DD had to go in the shower with her (in her swimming costume) and shut the shower doors behind them so she couldn't escape.
Mrs I- sounds like you had a good day, I agree that laughter is good for the soul if not the wrinkles!
Well done to ALL the kids who have got through the school year whether they are academic or not, everyone has different skills and not all of them are apparent as kids, some don't develop til they are older.
Thank you all for the kind comments about the cake and table. The top layer is a dummy as I knew there would be too much cake left over. The sad truth is that the cake is still sat, untouched, on the sideboard as they have gone on holiday this morning! We were all too full on Sunday and yesterday it was too hot to eat . It wont keep til they come back, she did love it all though so it was well worth it.
Its boiling here already, Im another one that doesn't like the heat much. I like Autumn too Free as I love the colours and the fact that we are on the countdown to Christmas.
Have a lovely day everyone, stay 'cool'!lovin' this site!

Hi all, What an absolutely gorgeous day. Took the kids to our local Lido to feed the ducks then we had an icecream. We went to the park but it was so hot that all of the swings and slides were red hot so the kids could not go on them. Got the physio again in the morning. If its nice again tomorrow the plan will be quick wilko trip after physio then home, paddling pool out and a day in the back garden with water guns.
Free- How lovely for somebody to do that for your DD. Restores your faith in human nature. I was raised to treat others as I wanted to be treated, always open doors, smile and be polite. Shame it is not as hhighly regarded anymore. Well done on signing up for a wedding planner course. I bet that is really interesting and to be fair I bet you could put what you learn to any event not just weddings so it will be really useful
Murie-Wow the pictures look amazing! Well done you xxx hope you have managed to stay awake with such an early start. I nodded off about 3.30am and then was up at 8.45. flagging now with this heat but when we came in from the park we all had a shower and I washed and dried my hair. Phew that was a task but at least im all ready for bed lol
Gettingtherequickly- Well done on cooking the Christmas cakes, hope everything turns out well for your brother.
Peppapig-peter kay is so funny, he has me crying with laughter, cannot wait to see these cabinets.
Mrsmoneypenny- Happy belated birthday hope you had a lovely day
Moneymission2015- thanks for the tip about topcashback and kidstart. I keep meaning to sign up for topcashback and still haven’t. Christmas pjs are the best so cannot fault you for having so many.0 -
FREESPIRIT how is the cystitis with all the cranberry juice? Hope you're feeling better now. DH is a bit up and down though that's not unusual. For some reason his osteoarthritis in his knees is really playing up lately so he's been in a lot of pain. He's felt better today though. Well done on signing up for the wedding planner course - I think 0462 is right and you'll be able to apply the skills to lots of things besides weddings.
MURIE, I spoke to one of the oncology nurses today and she said reducing the dose won't mean it has to go on longer. She said that it's more effective to have a slightly lower dose but have it every two weeks rather than have a stronger dose but have to keep deferring it. Had bloods today and haven't had a call from the hospital so looks like all systems go for chemo tomorrow.
MONEYMISSION I am in awe of your Christmas pyjamas!
Saw littlest DGS this morning, he's all better now. He's so gorgeous sometimes it's hard not to keep cuddling him and he really doesn't like being cuddled unless it's his choice. He had a lovely time bouncing on my bed though!
I've followed some of you on Instagram, think I've got everyone who posted their user names, but still haven't put anything on there. May have to get DD to talk me through it. If I can work it out I'll put up some pics of the cabinet that's finished. Still have one to do and a small shelving unit, plus making curtains to go over DD's appliances (washing machine etc.). I've got some gorgeous fabric with cherries on to complement her 50s vintage theme.
Just watching the dog rescuers - some human beings make me sick. How can you just throw a dog out when you've had enough of it! I think DH might be opening up to the idea of getting another dog so gently does it. I've been looking on the various rescue sites but no suitable candidates so far. Probably just as well cos I think being practical I need to wait til my chemo is finished so I'm strong enough to do daily walks.
DH seems more receptive to the caravan idea too so fingers crossed.
Have abandoned my new hair today as its so hot although I did put it on to go to the hospital and when the chimney sweep came lol. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
Popping my head in out the sunshine to say hello  hope everyone is ok, I'll catch up properly tomorrowChristmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

:bdaycake:HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANLEY :bdaycake:
Evening everyone, phew its been a scorcher here, i hate it when it is this hot, it saps your energy too, i got housework done early then moved a chair in the LR right under the fan and watched catch up tvi dont know if anyone is interested or how good it is but i joined a facebook group today called frugal Christmas, its a private group where you post good bargains when you see them, and the c word is used all over the place just like us :rotfl:handy to keep an eye on whats out there. I must have been dreaming about christmas this morning because i woke up wanting to get on here and tell you all i had seen my first christmas advert :rotfl:it felt so real.
MONEYMISSION that website you put the link on to yesterday has some gorgeous stuff on there i have bookmarked it for future present buying, thankyou.
MURIE btw i must say your buffet looked ever so posh where did you get some of the bits from? I would love to make a buffet that looked that good! Cant you take the icing off cut the cake up and put it in the freezer? It would be a shame after all that hard work to let it go to waste. Glad DD and BF got to their holiday accomodation alright, it looks lovely! Diesel didnt get a bath tonight it was just too hot we will do it tomorrow night, and he is the same as Ruby thinks we are going to kill him not just bath him!! Thankyou for asking but no i still have it, cranberry juice and bicarb do help but it isnt going away grrrr!
04624181 glad you had a lovely day with the kids, good luck with the physio tomorrow
PEPPAPIG thankyou but unfortunately it isnt going awayi think i will end up having to go to the drs AGAIN!! Good luck tomorrow for your chemo and glad it wont take longer with a smaller dose. Glad you got to see DGS too!
NEWTHRIFT hi back :hello:hope you had a good day off today

Hi Folks,How do you like this heat? I am not a fan, just too hot to do much for me.I like nice weather but 21 degrees is perfect for me.
I am sorry I have been awol.I had some shocking news last week and it has thrown me somewhat.I can't talk about it here as I wouldn't want to give someone elses personal details.
I had got to the point where I was having to make notes of all I wanted to say to folk. The few I can remember were:- PK we were neighbours when you holidayed here.Fancy that! You would have to drive past my house to go most anywhere.
Free,Mr V is better now thanks, took longer than I expected.
I am at a loss with instagram,I am useless,I have to get help from the kids to do anything and can't remember how to do it unless I have done it loadsa times iykwim.
It is so nice to read all your chatter, even if though I don't feel up to joining in much.
Murie that was an impressive spread.
Free bloomin marvellous news about your course and get well soon.
peppa something positive to look forward to...a maybe dog and a maybe caravan.
Love to all.Vx:0 -
morning- what an awful night! Had what felt like about 3 minutes sleep which after an early start yesterday was nowhere near enough! (can you tell I am a tad grumpy this morning?!), Yesterday I struggled to stay awake in the mega heat but as soon as I got into bed last night there was no way I could drop off. Poor dog was panting like mad despite the fan.
04624181- sounds like you had a lovely if energetic day !
Free- I cant freeze the cake as I freeze them before I ice them as I find it makes it easier to work on them. What bits did you mean and I will try to remember where I got them from (mostly e*ay). Can you get a phone appt with the Dr about the cystitis- it shouldn't be going on this long x. yes the apartment is beautiful, the pic she has sent me this morning of their view at breakfast is gorgeous -I will post it to instagram later if I remember. She was very homesick yesterday but says she feels better today so that's one less worry.
peppa- that seems logical about the chemo x. That's good news that DH is coming round to the idea of both the caravan and a dog (what about throwing a kitten too into the mix lol?) Fingers crossed for chemo today x I cant watch programmes about animals being mistreated cus it just breaks my heart and I cant get it out of my mind.
Vulpix- just come on when you feel up to it, no pressure , we will be here when you get back x
Newthrift- hi back!
Happy (belated) Birthday Hanley!lovin' this site!
