Newthrift- I have enjoyed eating outside (in the shade) this week too. What about a small drone with camera for DH? I am thinking of getting one for DS for Christmas (he is 26 too). Amazon have some entry level ones for about £30.
peppa- you are very talented!! Your DD is very lucky to have an interior designer for her mom!
Mrs Moneypenny- Happy Anniversary- enjoy your trip x
Feisty- as others have said its awful to hear what you and your DH are going through x You are in my thoughts, and I echo taking some time for yourself whenever possible as Peppa says.lovin' this site!

04624181 oh what a shame you didnt get your planters for your hampers, can you reorder them? It is just starting to rain here now
PEPPAPIG she has her moments but she has such a big heart always working for some charity or another, animals are a big thing, i remember when she was 14 and we had taken the kids to London for the day we were all cooling off with a drink in Trafalger Square and there were two foreign boys throwing their bottles at the pigeons, i mean really hurting them, everyone was tutting and shaking their heads but DD1 got up and threw her bottle at one of them and hit him on the head everyone clapped and cheered and the two boys bu**ered off :rotfl:I am glad your side effects will be less on this dose, you have coped with all this so well, and i totally see your point about wearing the wig and feeling like you not the patient! Just seen your caravan challenge yayyyy, your cabinet looks amazing for DD!!
MURIE i havent been on ebay for years i must have a nose, well it looks gorgeous even if you were mse about it. Mmm i love scones and cream good for you for taking some time out for yourself, you deserve it!

VWell for some peculiar reason I am awake at this silly time! DH gone to work and I haven't been able to nod off since! My brain is thinking about a 1000&1 things including sorting my Christmas binder out
:rotfl: so thought I would pop on here.
Yesterday was lovely, managed to get pretty much all the housework done and then nipped to town. My friend came up with her 3month old and we went a 2mile walk and then had some strawberries & cream. Was lovely
Murie the drone would be a good one for my brother, not sure DH would be as in to it, he isn't overly good with technology. Although I may drop a few hints, as he quite likes the programmes we have watched where they explore places with drones.
Free haha whoops sorry:rotfl: I must not of stores that bit when I was reading!! It was something nice for a change up from regular mince pies. Glad to see you have treated yourself to two books you wanted. I may get her Christmas one this year when it's out.
Well after seeing GTQ so organised with Christmas cakes it shifted me in to gear and I set my fruit soaking last night. Going to bake over the weekend. I have so much dried fruit left over that I have offered to do my friends one for free, just to avoid throwing it away (fruit will be slightly out of best before by Christmas but I figured it'll have so much brandy soaked in it that it won't matter!).Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

Feisty, so sorry to hear about Mr Fs trials and tribulations, truly hope that soon all will be resolved, with no damage.
Newthrift, you said it all, and so much better than l could, so l am saying all that you said in your post.
Chez invis continues to hurtle from chaos to crisis, currently, fave coz is in France, husband in hospital there, has had a heart attack, stents fitted, (just like neighbour, but in Germany earlier this month) . But neighbours recovery was fine and their insurer was helpful and efficient. Not so for Coz. Insurer wants to see his GPs notes and wants her to get signed consent back to them, she hasn't got a printer cos shes on holiday, hospital wont/cant help, and will not discharge husband, although he is well recovered. l may have to go out there next week to get it sorted and help to get the campervan home!
School's out for Summer, DGS is bored already.
DS2 was at the hospital again yesterday and DD is at orthotist this morning, l think l have my own chair there!
Oh, and the Tax Credits saga is becoming a trilogy!0 -
Wow MRSINVISIBLE you don't do things by halves. I do admire the way you handle all these major irritants. Trying to deal with the tax credit people would be enough for me! Hope fave coz is able to get her DH out and home or that you can get them sorted. That's the trouble with insurance companies, you only really find out how good they are when you're in the worst possible frame of mind to deal with them. Good job they've got you in their corner! It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0

Newthrift- I found this one with a 20% off code that includes free micro SD card and more blades. I don't think itys worth spending masses as my DS wont use it after the Christmas period much but it looks like good geeky fun.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B012SSR374/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
(code is on the page)- comes out at £29.59
Mrs I- blimey that's a situation and a half! You poor cuz must be beside herself with worry- can she not phone the GP and ask them to fax the notes through to the insurance company if she gives them the details? Im sure if she explains the predicament they might be able to help- although they may make a small charge. Might be worth a try? Hopefully things will be sorted out and he will be Ok to come home soon without you having to go 'intercontinental' x tax credit saga sounds like its becoming a bit of a mare too. Fingers crossed its all sorted soon.lovin' this site!

Hi everyone, wow what a hot muggy day. Car playing up again so we are trying to look at others. Been watching Christmas vlogs on youtube for stocking stuffer ideas.
Got these for my 2 kids and my sister.

We have played the game before and the younger kids were more up for it than the adults, lots of laughs were had though. Just made Mexican rice with turkey tacos and homemade salsa. It went down a storm, we all loved it.
Peppapig-looks like we are due another storm tonight. Glad you added buy caravan to your challenges
Murie- the heat is playing havoc with my sleep pattern, it was gone 2.30am again this morning. Ah well managing to get some shopping done and am spending hours on pinterest and youtube. Cream tea sounds lovely
FeistyFidget-I am so sorry that you are all going through this as a family. I can only imagine how you are feeling. I will keep you all in my prayers.
Newthrift- I have not been to Cheshire oaks in ages! May plan a trip once the kids are back at school. Well done you for soaking the fruit for your Christmas cake. What is the latest you can cook it really? I always say I will cook one and then don’t.
Mrs moneypenny-Happy anniversary hope you have a lovely weekend
Free- The House planters have sold out as they were such a fantastic price. It does say I have been sent one on my delivery note but there is not one in my package so I need to contact them.
Mrs invisible-So sorry to hear about your fav cousin and her husband. Hope they manage to get sorted out and get back home ok.0
