Just having my chemo - fab that the hospital has free wi-fi - so plenty of time to read and peruse. Had a minor scare this morning as hospital phoned to say neutrophils are still 1.2 and need to be 1.5 so had to come in early for another blood test. Thankfully they'd come up this morning so all ok to go ahead.

MURIE, it's funny you should say that because I keep looking at the cats and kittens on our local RSPCA site. :D I did say I wouldn't have another one because Tara was such a hard act to follow. If I'm honest I'm not sure we can even afford a pet at the moment but it doesn't stop me looking!

VULPIX so sorry to hear about your shocking news and fully understand why you can't share it. We're still here for you though so you've got lots of people thinking of you.

FREE it sounds to me like it's antibiotic time now - you've put up with this for long enough and normally cystitis doesn't take this long to go. Bite the bullet and phone that doctor girlie, the new kick !!! you can do it! :) wow, that's my first bit of censorship out of all my posts and I'm sure I've used much worse words than that. I didn't even put the actual word I put the one that also means an animal like a donkey!

I do enjoy the hot weather as I finally get a chance to put a dress on but I must admit it was too hot for me to sit out for long yesterday and I kept in semi shade. Today is lovely with a bit more of a breeze. Need two more days of this really as have another two dresses to wear :D

Afternoon everyone, i am wilting i thought they had got it wrong earlier as it wasnt that hot then i fell asleep and woke up to a sauna so air cooler on, ceiling fan on, blinds shut etc :o

VULPIX i have been thinking about you but i know you have been really busy lately, i am so sorry you have had shocking news it really does throw you doesnt it?? I completely understand you dont want to put it on here but you know we are all here for you x P.S. glad MrV is better now that is fab news, and yes i dont mind early 20s but this is too much!

MURIE could you not sleep because of the heat? I took ages nodding off last night too and i took the quilt off and just used the duvet cover if i needed it, it was so muggy. I hope you can catch up with a nap today. Ah yes i sometimes do that freeze them first, oh what a shame! I thought all the buffet bits like the prawn cocktail pots and the small tarts etc looked really posh, of course the decs were beautiful, DD1 really liked it as well, the cerise went perfectly with the black and white. Ooh i never thought of a telephone consultation right i will do that in the morning try and book one, thankyou :D Glad DD has got over her homesickness i used to be like that at her age after a few days on holiday

PEPPAPIG i hope you have your next dress on today :D thats great that you can get wifi while you are having chemo, the wonders of the modern world eh!! Glad you were able to go ahead with it today. Haha the censorship does censor funny words doesnt it :rotfl:I will phone drs tomorrow and try and get a prescription. Oh btw i forgot to say yes i cant watch these programmes about abuse of animals it makes my blood boil, DD1 kicked off the other day when we popped out and someone had left a dog in the car next to us with the window only slightly open, it was far too hot to be like that, she went in all the shops to ask but she couldnt find whose it was, then when we looked they had gone, good job because i think DD1 would have marched over and given them a mouthful :o

Hi everyone, its still very warm here but we have had a few showers and thunder too. DD managed 10 mins in the paddling pool after the last bout of rain. We have painted, she has played on the street and I have paid the bills. My halfcost parcel arrived. I got everything except the lovely house planters that I wanted to use as hampers. Still happy with the rest of the things. Argos has a huge clearance on, toys and clothes.

Peppapig- Glad to hear hubby is coming round to a caravan, it would be lovely for you to just take off to the caravan to relax. I get so angry when we watch animal rescue programmes, how can people do that to animals? Its good you are able to use the hospitals free wifi. Glad your neutrophils had come up so you could have your chemo. Hope you ok take care xx
Newthrift-Hi lovely to see you x
Free- Thanks for the facebook page tip, will have a look. Hope you manage to get the cystitis under control a drs telephone consult sounds like a plan.
Vulpix- Sorry to hear you have had some shocking news, hope you are ok x I am rubbish with Instagram too.
Murie-Oh no, sorry to hear you couldn’t sleep. Hope you manage to catch up on sleep tonight.

FREE I am very much liking the sound of your DD :D

0462 I was expecting thunder storms here today but so far it's just been sun, sun, sun but fortunately with a bit of breeze too. Somebody said earlier that the thunderstorms are only going to be in the north so I must have got it wrong. If we do get big storms though I'm going to unplug the broadband, I'm not paying for another router as a result of lightning!

Home now after chemo, am liking the reduced dose, side effects so far are def less than normal. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

I've added 'buy a caravan' to my challenges yay!

Free- the small canap! pots were a selection from eb*y £13 odd for 36 different ones. The other stuff was again eba* and the small chalk boards were home bargains. The table cloths were £11 for 4 from china and the striped material for the table runners was £4 from UK. The only thing that wasn't what I wanted was the gold charger plates which were really paper plates as I couldn't justify buying 10 gold proper ones. they worked ok though, the colours are classic Kate Spade. I have been gathering stuff since about February using my PayPal survey monies, which pretty much paid for everything except the canap! pots.
Im glad you are going to the DRs and as Peppa says I like your DDs style! there should be more people like her challenging those who just haven't got a clue or are just plain thick!

Peppa- glad the side effects from the reduced chemo are less. Did you wear your dress? Im hoping there is a storm soon cus the air is so heavy its oppressive. Big black clouds keep rolling past but then the sun comes out again. On the plus side though there has been a breeze this afternoon which has made a difference. We had a sky box blow up once when there was a storm- frightened the living daylights out of us! Yay to the caravan challenge!!

04264181- yes it was the heat that kept me awake. I think I have overdone it in both mind and body this weekend and although I was dropping I just couldn't clear my head. I have absolutely flaked out 3 times today, not naps real full fledged sleeps for a few hours at a time! Im not one for naps so I realise that its my body saying enough is enough! You have had another busy day by the sounds of it!

I sat in the garden this afternoon and had a cream tea for one! I had scones and clotted cream left from DDs birthday party so I though why not? It was lovely! And I actually got to have some cream as DD is away- she usually hogs it all!

Hope all are well, take care x

I did indeed wear the dress MURIE :T was glad I did too, it was very hot in there although I did keep my hair on. I've vowed nobody but very close family will see me without hair and I'm sticking to it, not for other people's sake but for my own. I will not look like a cancer patient because it doesn't make me feel positive when I do! I'm hoping FEISTY is just busy and MrF is ok.

Going to be another hot night - no covers for me tonight lol.

FEISTY glad DH is back on the beta blockers why did they tell him to stop taking them? I hope todays result was good :)

He had been sending hid heart rate results wirelessly to the hospital and they realised he was too slow so advised him to stop taking them.

Sadly it's all a bit doom and gloom my end. DH was out of rhythm and so they admitted him late on the Wednesday. He was then told he needed a cardiac ablation (where they remove some of the nerve endings on his heart) and would have to wait until they could assemble a team, but it was too dangerous for him to go home. He finally had the procedure carried out Tuesday. They said it would take 2 hours and would be straightforward, the op was stopped after 7.5 hours and they still haven't removed all the nerves that are causing his irregular beating and to top it all off he has caught an infection from the procedure and we are terrified about what it could be and what damage it may do. He was supposed to be coming home today if all was well, but now he will be in indefinitely.
Because of the infection I haven't been able to see him since Monday and all the stress whilst caring for little My is really beginning to take its toll

Sorry for the dreary post lovelies and thank you all for your well wishes and kind words xxx

Princesskitty - my brother is planning to go for 2years initially but if he settles over there I think he may stop permanently! I had noticed the Emma Bridgewater haha, you like the same pattern as me by the looks of it - Rose & Bees / Pink Hearts :)

Peppa - glad to see you have added the buy a caravan to your list :D

0462 - well done for your kids good reports!

Free - I like the mince pie cutter you posted. How lovely of the lady to post out the bottoms to your DD, there are nice people out there! Ooo wedding planner course will be so good I bet!!! Which Christmas advert have you seen? I've not caught any yet, but I'm expecting them soon. I'm sure all the Christmassy run up shows start soon (xfactor/strictly)

Moneymission - well done to you DD for school report too.

Nitnurse - thanks for the Yankee advent heads up, I'm heading over to Amazon in a mo. Birthday & anniversary trips both sound lovely!! Well done to you DH for the surprise birthday trip.

Murie - birthday table & cake looked amazing!!!!

GTQ - hope your brother finally gets some luck!! Well done him for giving it his best though - at least he can always say he tried!!

Vulpix - sorry to hear you've had shocking news, here when you need us! I'm a bit Instagram obsessed as I'm sure you have all noticed from my 100's of posts :o

Feisty - I'm so sorry, not quite sure what to say! Take care of yourselves and thinking of you, hope the infection soon clears so you can see MrF. Hugs xx

Well I didn't get chance to get on yesterday, bit of a manic day work wise - computer blew up but manage to get it fixed and it just delayed everything and meant lots of running around - anyway finally have a day off today but have a lot of cleaning/tidying to do in the house first. Will enjoy my lunch outside bough as it's still sunny here, although not as warm as it has been. Really enjoyed having lunch outside all week, just makes me feel so much more relaxed. Nothing much Christmas wise happening here, we have a few birthdays to sort first - one being DH and I really don't know what to buy him. So far I've got the box set of only fools & horses in my Amazon basket (he will be 26) and I've offered to buy him another shirt when we next go to Cheshire oaks. Right time to get on with the cleaning & the MASSIVE ironing pile. Hopefully if I get stuck in I will be done by lunchtime and can have a relaxed afternoon.
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

FEISTY I'm so sorry to hear about DH's problems, it all sounds horrendous with the operation taking twice as long as they thought it would. I can imagine how worried you both must be about the infection and not knowing how it will turn out. I wish there was something we could do to help but I know there isn't anything practical so I'll just say that we're all here if you need to rant or vent and I'm sure we're all thinking of you and DH. It must be hard for you with work and looking after little Feisty but do try and get some rest and eat properly. We don't want you going man down. Post when you can but don't worry if you just don't have time. Sending hugs.
