I know nothing about Instagram - can anyone explain in it simple terms. What is it for? How do you do it? I'm ok with Facebook but don't do any other social media except our lovely thread but if I'm missing out then I need to know!

MRSINVISIBLE hope tomorrow goes well - a big day indeed. I bet she's more nervous than you, I bet DS is too.

FEISY I'm hoping that no news is good news but still keeping everything crossed for you.

I'm loving all the Christmas chat - once we hit July it's all about the festive season for me although you're all making me feel very behind you're so ahead of me in the pressie buying and planning.

Had a phone call from oncology tonight after bloods today and chemo is off for this week because my white blood cell count and my neutrophils are too low. I'm partly disappointed because I want to get it done but I'm also partly pleased to have a bit of a break from it. More bloods next Tuesday then chemo next Wednesday if the bloods are ok. Messes up my plans for a few days away next week (with a detour to take DH to see the caravan I want of course) but we can go the week after instead and it means I've got more time free this week than I expected. It also means I can go and collect a vintage cabinet I've bought to do up for DD who's upcycling her kitchen on a budget.

GTQ those napkins are a lovely present, well done on making the christmas cakes already :D

TREASUREQUEEN i tried buying my choc oranges this time last year and flipping ate both of them so i wont be tempted this year, but i will look out for the coasters as DD2s christmas theme is black and gold thankyou. The friendship hearts/balls sound lovely i will google later. Thanks for the tip about the alcohol gift sets too. Your grandparents will love their golden hamper it sounds fab!

PEPPAPIG glad you enjoyed the film and had a good time out, you are very brave to cut your hair, i really admire how strong you have been throughout this ordeal, and you helped me be a bit braver as well. I am sorry you have had to postpone your break you must feel you are never away from the hospital, i hope you do some nice things with your spare time this week. I am the same as PK with apps i never know what is good or not, which one do you use? I really am not the one to explain Instagram i dont really understand it myself, i am useless at all social media and just about bumble along :D

Basically it's a photo sharing app, so you upload your photos and can follow friends or celebs, magazines and shops etc. It's like a photo diary I suppose and you can link your account to Facebook and Twitter. Similar in a way to Pinterest, i.e. addictive. You can also set it as private if you prefer so only approved followers can follow you and see your pictures

0462 Crafty gift for you DD sounds really good. Hope physio went well :) It does feel good to have a nice list to work from :rotfl: i'm a bit list crazy :o
treasurequeen fantastic bargain's with the body shop gift sets :T I am going to have a look for those friendship hearts as they sound like a perfect gift for my two friends & cousin who I buy for. The 50th anniversary hamper for your granparents sounds lovely. Thanks for the alcohol set offers heads up in sains too, as I am on the lookout for a baileys mini for my BIL's partner to add to her hot choc set.
MrsI Hope all goes well today when your DGS brings his GF round.
peppa Would love to see a before & after of the cabinet. Re instagram - as pinksteps says it's basically photo sharing and very addictive.
Mine is set as private so if anybody adds me from here and it's not obvious who it is please let me know and I won't decline you :o:p
Thanks Free, i'm hoping she likes it. Going to add a little baileys to it also and maybe bulk it up by putting it in a pamper style hamper. They are building their own house atm so anything for a bit of extra relaxation. As you'll see from my instagram I post basically allsorts, especially a lot of food :rotfl: If he decides to live there I will defiantly be off to visit! Lots of skype and facetime whilst he is gone.

Made a start with my lists for christmas so feeling more organised. Slightly behind on housework this week so need to make an effort to be up early tomorrow and get it done before I go out.

feisty Thinking of you, hope yesterday's result was good!

Treasurequeen- those are lovely ideas and you have got some real bargains there.

Newthrift- Im sure she will love that as a present- I would!

Mrs I- I chuckled at your nerves at meeting DGS GF, hope all went well.

Feisty- hope all is well now and on a more even keel x Im thinking of you x

Peppa- that's a nuisance about chemo being postponed so mucking up your plans to entice DH into thinking about the caravan . That's a bold move to cut your hair but more power to you that you have taken that step x Typical you to be on the go despite the set back- what are you planning for the kitchen cabinet?

Princesskitty- nope didn't save the list but well done LazySheep on finding it!
MoneyMission - I have thought about getting one of those secret curlers for DD as she has longer hair than mine, Ive always been put off by stories of hair getting tangled. Im the same, I need a few cans of hairspray to get my hair to hold for more than 10 mins.

04624181 hope you managed to have an easy day after physio

Pinksteps- Ive never really got the hang of instagram either, I just follow a lot of GSD groups but I agree it is addictive!

Hope I haven't missed anyone out, if I have its not deliberate x
The sun is out so maybe we may be about to have to nice weather for a change , fingers crossed!

    Take care everyone

MURIE it's an up cycle project for my DD's kitchen/dining area. She's very into 50s vintage and collects tea sets but doesn't have much money so I'm going to paint it up and make it look fabulous. Confession time - my sister took me to collect one cabinet but when we got there we really liked the other one as well so ended up coming home with two! I do t think there's much chance of me running out of things to do!

CHRISSY that's great news about DD, hope it all goes really well for her.

NEWTHRIFT/PINKSTEPS I've signed up to Instagram but not sure what my user name is.:o It said my first choice wasn't available and I scrolled through lots of others but no idea if I picked one. I signed in with FB and one of my FB friends is already following me so I must have joined. I'll have to go and gave another look and see if I can work it out.

FREESPIRIT/PRINCESSKITTY I've downloaded a Christmas planner called Manage Christmas. It isn't great, it's quite basic but it lets you list people to buy for and put in what you're buying it planning to buy and a budget. You can mark things as bought or not bought so at least I can check what I've got so I don't end up with lots of stuff all for one person. My laptop takes so long to get going that I tend not to use my spreadsheet.

I really wish summer would start, I've got dresses I want to wear and I don't get my legs out until the weather is hot!!
