I remember the list but I haven't saved it unfortunately.
Feisty thinking of you today.
Don't know if I said but my Emma Bridgewater parcel turned up yesterday. I got one of the hearts mugs on sale and I'm going to do a hot chocolate/marshmallows thing in it for BIL's fianc! at Christmas.
My brother and SIL2B have booked their flights to Canadaleaving towards end of August. Defiantly not looking forward to it but I hope they enjoy the experience.
Right time to finish getting ready for workChristmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

A couple of years ago we put together a list of Christmas songs and Christmas films to listen to and watch, did anyone by any chance save these lists? Frustratingly I didn't and they're not at the start of the thread and I wouldn't even begin to know where to look for them! So I just thought i'd ask on the off chance some body saved them? If not we could always have a bit of fun making them again! Plus i'd love a list of Christmas books to read too. xx
Ooh I would love this too if anybody has got it.

Hi all, Been to physio this morning so it’s a take it easy day today. Nipped in to wilkos and picked a few stationary bits for a set of plastic drawers that I am going to fill with craft and stationary stuff for DD. She loves being creative and crafty so going to keep filling the drawers up with canvas, paints, sketch pad, pencils etc aswell as pens pads, stickers. She will love it and hopefully all her things for creative play will be in one set of drawers. Im hoping to clean up a set of plastic drawers that are in the loft. I may even personalise them with my vinyl drawers
FeistyFidget- I am glad you managed to get hold of the consultant. I am praying for you all xx
Newthrift- Isnt it a great feeling when you start writing those lists in your Christmas book.
Princesskitty29- Sounds like you had a lovely time. A great gift idea for your in laws
Ooh if anyone saved the list I would love a copy too.0 -
Picked up a couple gift sets in the body shop sale and got extra discount using the discount code on the MSE coupon page. 4 gift sets for £10.50 not bad and got a Christmas gift bag for 30p. That's my two aunts presents done and my friends birthday present. the other day I saw in a boutique shop some hand blown glass hearts and baubles which i thought would be good gift ideas. but I wasn't prepared to pay £20 or up for them, was updating my Amazon wish list and saw that Amazon sells ones similar if not identical for £12.50. And in nicer colours and they come with a free stand. They are called friendship hearts and friendship balls, potential gift idea for people you find hard to buy gifts for.
I have decided that I'm going to do a hamper for my grandparents 50th anniversary. I've bought one of the friendship hearts in gold, some charbonnel walker salted caramel chocolates in a gold heart box, a bag of golden honeycomb, a lucky sixpence from the year they married, some morroccan solar lights to hang in the garden, just got to think of some more things to put in it.
Oh and lastly I was in sainsburys yesterday and down the alcohol aisle I overheard a member of staff tell a customer that they now stock alcohol gift sets all year round. And the sets are good value, they do a miniature gin, whisky set. Lagers of the work set and a Prosecco set with champagne truffles £5.00. Anyway they had loads of different sets starting from £3.00- £15.00. Good idea to put a set in with a hamper or to add as an extra to a birthday present.£2 savers club 2025 #2= £480 -

Wilkos stationary stuff is excellent value for money and the different designs are all lovely too. Home bargains (don't know if you have one near you) sometimes sell an artist set with canvas, paints and mixing tray for about £2.50, I got one last year and it's great value and good quality paints.£2 savers club 2025 #2= £480 -
Feisty, have been thinking of you all day, on and off, and hoping for good news for you all.
peppa, well done on the haircut, and the wig. and the positivity you exude in all your posts.
Christmas gifts are at a standstill currently, as l only have the nibs to buy for now, and l have to wait until l get 'the list' from DDIL of what they would like, usually arrives beginning of November.
DGS1 on the other hand keeps me well up to date on his likes wishes and wants, but l ignore most of them as they tend to change a lot between now and then.
Today l looked after DGN all day, was fantastic, she was good as gold, but am cream crackered now, must be getting old!
While she was asleep l attempted some paperwork, and renewed the tax on DDs car, now l need to insure mine, as it runs out on Friday.
Big day, tomorrow, DGS is bringing his girlfriend home with him, oh, my, nervous? you bet l am! So l better go and check what he wants me to feed them, then that worry is out of the way. xxx0 -
