    Debt-free and Proud!
Hi everyone :) just caught up on all the posts - Late Birthday wishes Lynn and well done to all getting fleabayed to the max - i have some things to add there but got the fleabayblues....

Lots of things sold on fb and too many parcels to post atm - hate having to go out on the bike in this weather so i keep putting it off. Have to go today so glad its a bit better outside.

I have managed to get back over my previous amount in savings acc now - £125.45 and still not decided what to do re mortgage payment yet. Also just had the most ridiculous convo with Vanquis and hung up on them lol!

Few more surveys done and close to cashing out on a few again so off to do a bit more :)

Keep up the good work everyone!

  • Congratulations to all money-makers:beer:. Some great amounts being made :T

Just back from the Post Office after posting 3 books sold on Amazon over the weekend. The cold weather is bringing the book-buyers out in force:j

I had to smile when I was queuing as the person in front of me was posting an assortment of differently-shaped and sized parcels. Ebay sales, I thought;). The Postmistress was interrogating her over every parcel and although I couldn't hear exactly what was being said (nosy, moi????) the Postmistress mentioned nail varnishes several times;). Reminded me of the conversation on here recently by Aesop, lexbubbles and someone else too I think about sending nail varnish/polish by RM.
  • I didn't list anything on eBay yesterday and the offer ends tonight so I doubt I'll get anything on there this time around. I'm not too bothered though as my next main eBay push will be with the 2 shoeboxes crammed full of old postcards some dating from around 1900. I need to research potential values first as I don't want to sell too cheaply. Will take a leaf out of lexbubbles book with these and do them as BIN with a Best Offer option.

Some of them have lovely, clear postmarks and the postage stamps intact so obviously fall into 2 catagories. I've several reference books on the subject of old postcards so I know what I'll be busy doing tonight;). It's so easy to get sidetracked by reading the messages though as a lot of them were sent around WW1 and are very poignant. The scanning/photographing of fine detail is very time-consuming but collectors are experts and need to know exactly what they're getting;).

The dross I'll bundle into lots and at least they'll be ready for the next free listing offer:j
  • I've not had an acknowledgement yet from Populus for my angry email on Friday evening when I was screened out of a supposedly 20 minute survey (which had already taken me nearer 30:() because I failed quality control by supposedly entering my postcode wrongly:mad:. I'd already had to enter my postcode twice before that anyway. This was a £4 survey so I'm still seething:eek:
  • Another £4 from Amazon - £20 isn't bad in my first day!

    I've relisted items on eBay.

One a seller hadn't paid for, so messaged to ask if there is an issue or they just want to cancel.

Friend has a camera for sale and a buyer from west africa wants it. We decided to decline their offer and block them. Will have to show her how to set her account to restrict who sees items.

    They sure do!

Turns out my £19.99 offer was a guy wanting to collect and asking details. Why he did that rather than using the messaging system is beyond me since he's going to pay the £20. Coming by Thursday to pick it up (acoustic guitar my ex-flatmate left here when he went home to aus. It was, as he put it, "cheaper to buy a new one when I get home" than pay to check it on the flight)
