Well not exactly an earning, but we bought dd2s cot yesterday. Was meant to be £45 instead of £70 due to a couple of small chips in paint - obviously not really an issue. However, when we got there, they found a split in the wood, so gave us a perfect one for £45 anyway. Then we saved £100 off her matress using the gift voucher MIL gave us for the caring mother shop. So that only cost £40 with another £6 cashback due too. We're quite please with that for 5years worth of use :)

    Brilliant, well done!

Lol, I might use that term! Does everyone go for the bigger 20min + ones? I can't bear to do them unless they're under 10mins if truth be told!

Exactly the same here! But when I look back and see an average £300pm coming in and finally now going off the mortgage, it's so worth it! So stick to your guns as long as you're getting time 'together' too!

Am a big addicted to the mortgage calculator too. We're aiming for 15yrs instead of 31. After 3 years of downgrading tv packages to the point we don't even have a license (just watch catchup for about 3hrs a week), I've found our productivity has shot up too. Not for everyone I know, but if you can live without tv, I promise it's worth it. We actually struggle to find any entertaining to watch now - never thought I'd say that!

I could quite easily manage without the telly as Im always clicking, or at the allotment. Could easily get by with the radio but I think I would get looks that said "Are you stark raving bonkers?" from soap loving daughter and remote hogging OH:eek:

We are paying £50+ a month for the bundle with virgin.

We like having tivo and happy with internet but seriously debating if we could manage without the telephone line. We both have calls included in mobiles which we dont make full use of so something to look into.

That is an amazing amount and great overpayment each month.

Believe it or not, with virgin removing the phone bumps up your bill!!!

I never use my landline and asked virgin to remove it, they told me it would cost me more without it. Ridiculous huh!!!

Yep, this is true, we got rid of it too as we never used it and the sales calls were driving us mad. OH is very good on the phone however and consistently negotiates, particularly with virgin, who are quite receptive to it. Say you'll change provider first chance you get if they can't make the bill worth your money and request the highest broadband speeds instead if they won't drop the cost. Honestly, we've never failed to secure more then they were originally offering and now pay about £24 for high speed. It particularly helps to mention all the times we've had to call them due to service dropping, so do say that if you've logged calls before. We also do it every time they periodically try to increase costs.

I got so fed up with surveys kicking me out after quite a few questions that I stopped for a while and now only attempt the odd short ones if I can be bothered.
