keep posting on your thread, there are always newbies looking for challenges, who will glady jump on board, especially when they see how well you are doing :money:

Thanks Aesop. It had something like 120 views with no takers :rotfl: just updated it with progress in my tea and cosmetics categories so bump it back up again and hopefully someone joins.

I'm over on cosmetics this month but the lipstick I was after was more than my monthly budget on its own (£19.50 and my budg is £15). Was also released as part of a £45 box set exclusive to Selfridges which I won on eBay for £24 all-in so I'm pretty chuffed all things considered.

That and I've gotta get shampoo/conditioner this month. I'll just not buy anything in Feb to make up for it. Can't see me running out of anything else by then anyway.

Haven't had any eBay/amazon/discogs sales since the 5th why does everyone hate me suddenly? :rotfl:

OH remember last month when I did that follow-up for the fire safety people and they gave me a tenner? Today I did a short pre-record for BBC Radio Scotland (pencilled in for 6:15pm if you want to hear me natter) and will receive 'another incentive' for that. Not sure how much. Probably another tenner.

Good to see everyone doing well. Just sticking my head in. Not making a huge amount of progress as this flu is really kicking my teeth in! It was DD1 second birthday on weekend too and both her and the baby have the lurgy too, so it was a bit strained, bless them. At least I managed to make something resembling a cake for her!

I had hoped to sort out my child benefit claim for DD2 as I haven't heard anything after posting it in November, along with her birth certificate (would be nice little sum once back paid) but when I finally got through to someone, they were the rudest, most unhelpful individual I've ever encountered. She stated they hadn't received it (ok my fault for not sending recorded), but she refused to put me through to the claims department so I could ask if I would still be permitted back pay even though it will be gone the 3 month limit by the time I get another certificate and claim sorted, refused to call the claims department on my behalf and kept huffing and saying she had already given me assistance! THEN, when I (admittedly) got annoyed and told her I'd already taken that info on board but I was also trying to get assistance for queries she wasn't answering and what was the point in me calling if she wasn't going to try to help me, she hung up on me!!!!! I should stress that as annoyed as I was, I did not swear or shout.

This is why I don't do phone calls, but I wasnt expecting to encounter that today. *slaps forehead*

Anyway, on a more positive note, thanks to Kantankrus Mare for reminding me re: receipt hog, which I've just signed up to using her link. Got lots to add into it.

And apologies for the rant - negativity going back in a box now! :D

  • On a more humorous note, I've got to tell you all that I just got screened out of a survey for answering that I have less than £500,000.00 in assets and savings. Really!? Would I be doing a survey for about 35p if I had that kind of money stashed away!?!?

    Hilarious :rotfl:

Rant away. Some people have no sense of customer service

The thing is, it's additional expense for you having to get another certificate. The first one will have been received and is being processed while you are spending money on another because someone wouldn't give you customer service. Email chb that's what I did when I had a query.

The news about David Bowie hit me way harder than I could ever have predicted (not that I predicted it at all I mean who really thought he could die?) so I've not really been in the survey-takin' mood

Hello. My ISP is up and runnning. And the customer service is way better than fruit-coloured ISP. I rang them cos it was working but I couldn't connect and there were no lights on the router. Seems router lights are proximity sensored and there is a wifi on off button too. All fixed and so easy.
    Happy Sugar.
Haven't made any money today tho cos no wifi til about 30 mins ago.
