I am no expert in property but have lived in many types of homes, in many locations and can only talk from experience.0 -
https://www.myownmove.com is another doing free listings (at the moment!) and offers unlimited photos. Hope that helps...0

I've just had a letter from an estate agent saying the house-selling process is going to change drastically on June 2007, but it doesn't tell me how.
Can someone help?0 -
It is because of the HIP (home information pack) which will basically cost about £400 and include searches, enviromental report on property (energy efficiency), water info, land registry - in theory to speed up the whole process, in reality another way for them to scr*w more money out of us!
If your property is on the market before the June deadline then you are ok and except from having a HIP report until March 08 (I believe) but would any prospective purchasers be put off if you dont have a HIP??????

debug77 - www.housekeys.co.uk also allows you to advertise your property for free with no commission or strings attached and allows 1 picture of each room plus the front and back/garden of the property.

Hi all.
Has anyone had any experience buying/selling through a company called The Step which owns the properties that it is selling. They offer a complete package including mortgages etc.
Would be grateful for any info anyone can share.
Many thanks0 -
Thanks Marcus, your information is so useful! Im hoping to sell my house in a few months or so and will keep all this in mind. I was feeling quite nervous about selling due to a bad experience with an estate agent when selling my flat some time ago, but now it doesnt seem so daunting having read your article. thanks again0

thanks!
Perfect timing, had started to make arrangements into remorgaging to do some improvements to my 2 bed, but managed to talk hubby into buying a new 3 bed.
Bit miffed as allready had survey done for remorgage, but atleast I know that its worth 80 for a morgage, so have a good idea to begin with.
Excelent tips about the fees, will be making sure I get 1% and only a one week tie in
On average, how much are soliciter fees in Scotland, anyone know?
Thanks0
