  • Hi Bob

I have been silently following the NST December thread and practiced a couple of NSD's to see if I could do it...........all was going well until I locked myself out/in my house (in the porch, between 2 doors!) and had an emergency locksmith call out of £100 a few days ago to come and set me free, doh!
Never mind, am regrouping and looking forward to becoming a diligent turtle and have several things to work towards in 2016 - clear £4K of debt, save £1k emergency fund, and save about £3k to remortgage. Would also be nice to save towards Xmas 2016 but the above mentioned 3 goals are my priorities.
Everyone is a work in progress. :j

I would love to join please. The first of January is my 30th birthday, when I had planned to be debt free (including mortgage). Instead we find ourselves in more debt than we've ever been and I can see us spiralling again :(

I will have a look through to see what a reasonable number for some of the aspects is for me :)

    Hi there

Firstly hope you will have a good 30th. Please do join us and with your achievable numbers for you. Martin Lewis is famed for saying there is no debt situation that can't be fixed and I tend to agree with him. There is no quick fix a lot of the time depending on the figures involved and the income of the individual but with hard work and consistency it can be done. Good to meet you.

    Bob

Pleaase count me in. I have spent too much over Christmas  (especially on food :o). I have lots in store, so will concentrate on minimal groceries spends (and maximum NSDs) in January.

I also have a credit card bill to pay off, and several family birthdays coming up this month :(

  • Have worked out that to pay off my Very account before the interest free period ends, I need to pay £137.90 every payday from now until 1Jul. (7 payments)
Plus I need to pay the minimum payment off my credit card of around £50
I'm off to set up a standing order so I can't ignore this.

  • Hello, can I join this please? I have created a terrible take out coffee habit in the last 6 months and NSD will definitely motivate me!
