Hi Bob,
Thanks for the reply. I am interested in anything that helps me stay committed. I especially like the emphasis on pay debts first and no spend days.
I can't say I would ever be able to commit to a non-tech day though... Is not doing some of the theme-based rules allowed..?
Thanks again for your reply0 -
Hello
I remember not joining in for a long time with the challenges because they seemed so harsh. But to be honest I think the people hosting the challenges don't want to exclude anyone and so if there is something you feel you couldn't adhere to like no tech then just say that upfront and carry on with the rest.
The various hosts of these challenges will normally pick a theme, for example mindfulness. Some would say being online a lot isn't conducive to being in the moment..but for someone with a business being off line may affect finances so that would not be useful!
I think bottom line is if you sign up then just do your best to stick to the challenge in your way.

Bobarella: thanks, I'm looking forward to it! (For some reason my emotis buttons are not working so for now
) (wow that's weird! So now a colon and cap D creates a geen smiley! Ok!)
Jeanangeo: I'm fairly new here myself, but in brief this is a monthly thread to help contributors to manage their finances better, plan and stick to budgets and support each other as they work towards becoming debt-free, reducing their debt, building an emergency fund for unseen contingencies and/or building savings. The host (whoever initiates each monthly thread) will post a sticky, which stays at the top of each page, with details of the intended targets and objectives for the month. It is a little early for the full details of the January ones to have been posted yet, but you can get a good iidea of how it works from last month's thread (look up NST December under Debt Free Wannabee Challenges). It's a very friendly and supportive environment, so welcome aboard!
As you can see, and probably guess I started writing this earlier, then got distracted before coming back to finish and post, only to find Bobarella's comprehensive replies. Oops, sorry!BE HEALTHY, STAY POSITIVE AND PERSEVERE0 -
Bipex - no need to apologise for trying to help. That's the great thing about the challenge, everyone wants to help each other. Right on with the big day count down..." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D
