Bulb Energy Reviews: Give your feedback on the energy supplier

Recently signed up to Bulb, for electricity supply to my 2-bedroom flat, with no gas in the block. So far so good, especially for E7, particularly since I upgraded my three storage heaters to XLE ones made by Dimplex. These were expensive, both to install and to buy, but cheaper than their (supposedly better insulated) Quantum range. They do retain heat well into the evening, unlike my (20 year) old storage heaters.0

I signed up for the MSE Bulb deal on 7th Jan via the link from MSE. The deal includes MSE £25 cashback and £25 for dual fuel, as captured here
"And we've negotiated a special deal on its Bulb Vari-Fair tariff (via this special MSE Cheap Energy Club comparison link)
where you get the usual £25 Cheap EnergyClub dual-fuel cashback and an extra £25 dual-fuel bill credit."
There was nothing to confirm the extra £25 in the sign up and nothing in the welcome from Bulb. I asked them about this and they said they don't do dual fuel discounts (anymore) and to ask MSE about it.
Does anyone know how this works as the MSE details said it was a bill credit?
Thanks. Phil
Have you resolved this PhillBB?
It's the extra £25 bill credit that is making me think of switching to Bulb. If it's not available anymore then hopefully MSE will update their info so people aren't misled.0 -

Sounds like the agent Phil spoke to didn't know about their latest MSE deal and got confused.
MSE pay the cashback and Bulb add the credit after 3 months from what I've seen before.0 -
For reassurance a quick post on the Bulb community should work.
They recently got rid of the dual fuel discount, probably why the person you got was confused. bulb.co.uk/blog/simpler-statements-and-lower-standing-charges0 -
Sorry catslovelycats
This is my third time of attempting to reply. My post goes on and then evaporates. I can only guess some AI filter system later rejects it. After much thought I can only think it is because I put a link to 'the thread where you can find money off' and you are not allowed to do this. I presume people have to be clever enough to find it themselves.
Anyway, what others have posted mostly applies. Got an email response from MSE Cheap Energy Club, confirmed the extra £25 comes from Bulb after 3 months. Agree Bulb Energy Specialist wasn't up to date. I suggested to MSE CEC they encourage confirmation of the bill credit in sign up with future such deals - that received no response; well actually an email with my comments but nothing added by them.
Loads of emails from Bulb so far. Today is my switch date and funnily no email so far.

Can I switch to Bulb with a prepayment meter?
If you have an old style prepay meter yes, you can switch to Bulb. Just head to our join page to get a quote.
We're not quite ready to take smart prepay meters. If you have one and want to switch to Bulb, we’ll have to switch the meter to credit. This means you would make a fixed monthly payment, taken in advance.hi we have British gas card meters fitted to both gas and electricity (we are not in any arrears ) can we use this service ???0
