Oooh, I've just read that if we use the £50 referral links on here, that we may not get such a good deal. Know anything about that? My deal came via comparethemrkt.
Don't think mine was affected. I checked the comparison sites but in the end signed up directly with Bulb for the same rate shown on the sites and using a referral link from here.

In fact, E7 is 1am to 8am - so most people will have done all of their morning stuff and left the house by then... no brainer.
The E7 period varies according to the region and whether it is British Summer Time and can also be affected by vagaries of individual equipment. My current E7 period is 12.12 - 7.12am. In the summer it will be an hour later - which I prefer. I also found that after a power cut, the timing can change slightly.
Currently I'm either up late or up early doing as many 'electric jobs' as possible. :(

After doing the comparison and getting in touch with my current supplier I was disappointed to hear them tell me that despite the predicted 'up to' £228 a year saving by switching that they couldn't do anything for me so I switched to Bulb this morning :) have read the feedback and one thing which I like is the responses from Bulb on here so I am looking forward to the service and of course saving money.

Thanks Pineapple - I call it a good day when I learn something new (obv google'd it too). I'm with you on the 'going bed late/getting up early to use it - I sometimes wonder if they'll be any left for my neighbours lol

I could tell you some stories about our historic power cuts and what it did to our E7 timing!

If you switch to Bulb using the address/referral below you’ll both get £100 credit towards your bills (works until midnight Wednesday 09/01/19).

    :rotfl:

I see even perpetual spammer, Tom Wynn, has recently given up on these jokers despite his assertations you could save £100s, ditched and switched, and is now spamming a different supplier ...

I signed up for the MSE Bulb deal on 7th Jan via the link from MSE. The deal includes MSE £25 cashback and £25 for dual fuel, as captured here

"And we've negotiated a special deal on its Bulb Vari-Fair tariff (via this special MSE Cheap Energy Club comparison link)
where you get the usual £25 Cheap EnergyClub dual-fuel cashback and an extra £25 dual-fuel bill credit."

There was nothing to confirm the extra £25 in the sign up and nothing in the welcome from Bulb. I asked them about this and they said they don't do dual fuel discounts (anymore) and to ask MSE about it.

Does anyone know how this works as the MSE details said it was a bill credit?

    Thanks. Phil
