  • Happy Christmas Eve everyone!

DS1 went out with some friends earlier. Someone was driving so they went to visit other friends 15 miles away. DS was supposed to be home at 11pm. At midnight he texted me to say that he really wanted to come home but no-one would leave and he was stuck there. He is now on his way home and very worried that he is going to get an ear bashing. He has been texting me every few minutes telling me he is safe but really wishes he hadnt gone.

DH is snoring his head off. I went to bed but was fretting because the back door wasnt locked and DS didnt have a key so in the end I got up. The dog is pacing up and down whining wondering what on earth is going on.

Oh and I need to leave for work in 7 hours. And its Christmas Eve and there are things to be done.

    Sigh.

I am so excited about my SS present.. it is being saved until Friday though.. so I get 3 days of presents :p

DD2 not home from work yet! I hate her doing bar work!

  • Morning late peeps. I woke up at 0445. List of things going through my head so I got up and started baking. 1 batch of stollen muffins done. Having a cuppa then will walk dog, savoury muffins and mince pies still to do. Will try and get another batch through before 0745 bus to get turkey etc.

I'm feeding the Southern General on-call rota for Christas Eve :D so it all needs to be ready to go tonight.

Thankfully our Christmas meal isn't until Boxing Day as DH doesn't finish until mid-morning tomorrow. Gives me a few hours to bake more if, as I fully expect, 24 savoury muffins and the same of mince pies and stollen get demolished by the 7(ish) on-call doctors and attendant nurses. Least I can do for their hard work.

I think I'll be crawling by the watch night service, and then I have to get up first thing tomorrow.

Merry Christmas to everybody in case people are all too busy. Enjoy the festive time with family and friends. And if you are dreading it - it's over fairly quickly;)

    Morning:)

Lynnejk - Thanks for the tip!

A good nights sleep and back feels a little better, but very stiff when I woke. List of things to do seems to have grown in the night!

Best friend coming round this morning:) Looking forward to seeing her and her kids.

Going to pick up DS1 (and his washing) this afternoon. He has no washing machine at his flat, so I have offered to do it over xmas while he is here.

Lots to get done this morning before bestie arrives, but first a browse and a cuppa:)
