Absolutely right! Pains in the butt, both of them, Coyote AND Loki!

Our coffee machine has turned up its toes now. I cannot exist without coffee.:eek::eek::eek:
Luckily we have a plan B - grind some beans ready to use, and resurrect the dinky little cup-with-a-lid which has its own integral filter, which Mr LW bought from Wh!ttards before I met him. OK, I'll need to drink about four of these to get going in the morning, as it's only half the size of my usual mug, but it'll do til we can get a replacement.

Natty OMG that is utterly ludicrous. How in the name of goodness is MIL supposed to cope? Words fail me!

Dd can't believe that 3 random people would put themselves out to trace the phone back to its owner. .

It's lovely when that happens. I once lost my phone when I was out riding through the woods, didn't realise till I got home and had no idea where it was. 3 weeks later, after considerable snow/freezing/ice/thawing/Christmas, I had a phone call from the next village. She had found my phone when walking her dog, took it home, washed the mud off it, found a charger which fitted, charged it and rang the number that said "home". Bless her. Amazing it still worked after all that. I took her round a box of chocolates!

Gosh what a lot to catch up with after only a day.
    Kaz so sorry about cat.
Ionafan hope DH is making good progress
Pigpen glad electrics sorted. That sort of sparklers you don't need!
Bossy glad you had a great time.
    Natty how ridiculous, hugs.

Thanks to all for the lovely cards and messages, feel guilty now I was boring and just put my name to the ones I did.

We had a lovely day in London with MIL yesterday. Started off at the Natural History Museum at the wildlife photographer of the year exhibition, some great ones there. Managed to get us in free as I joined Mr N up for membership for Christmas; the pack and entry cards hadn't arrived so I showed email and that was ok. Pleased I managed to do it while Mr N and MIL were looking at something else - then in the post this morning a large envelope arrived with "NHM membership" clearly written on it. Aaagh - snatched it out of Mr N's hand and ran upstairs.
Then we went to see Aled Jones and others in the carol concert at the Albert Hall, lovely. Got a bus to Trafalgar Square to look at the big tree, listened to a youth group singing carols. Walked up to Leicester Squ to Mexican restaurant, watching the mini-fair in the Square. Walked round that, Mr N and I went on the big wheel so we could look down on the lights.

Today I managed to get to a class at the gym, then went into town.
    - got veg and fruit from market
    - went to bank following an email to say they had 'possibly' given me a faulty PIN number to go with my new cc (replaced after fraud). Lady in bank very nice, confirmed it was a real email but I tried the card in their machine and the PIN worked. She checked account was ok. Odd.
    - got large joint of beef and gammon, plus some steak from meat van on the market. Good price, was glad to see him there.
    - got a couple of things in Smith's; the book Mr N wants isn't yet in paperback and I know he doesn't want hardbacks, so took a chance with another one.
Staggered back to car with 6 bags full. Why did I go to the gym first?
    - filled car up with diesel
    - dropped a few cards off on the way home.
    - made mini-Christmas cracker flower arrangement for friend we were due at 3.30 for drinks and nibbles.
    - Quick change, had nice time but didn't get home till 8pm and very hungry as nibbles was crisps (I can't eat potato), sandwiches (can't eat wheat) and shortbread (ditto). I put stuff away and juggled 3 lists; things I must do tomorrow; final menu for next 3 days and an alarmingly ever-increasing list for supermarket tomorrow. Have totally run out of eggs, but strictly speaking, nothing else on the list is life-changing if I don't get it. Had planned to go to supermarket either on the way home from town (road completely clogged with cars so couldn't face it) or this evening after drinks (too late).

Have managed a HHI this afternoon and will now attempt to conjure up an edible spaghetti bolognese on the feeble propane gas cooker in the caravan. Wish me luck!
I expect you will be in the caravan for a while. Assuming you have electric I would suggest you get a twin hob (they sit on the counter), a steamer, a combi-micro, a small freezer and a slow-cooker. They are all quite reasonable at C*rrys.

I lived in a caravan for four years and, with a bit of practice and a juggle, you can cook just about anything with these. You just have to be careful about how many you have on at the same time so as to not overload the supply. Good luck :D

Pigpen glad you've your leccy back.

Ionafan pleased to hear that your DH is recovering

MrsMP fantastic news that you've found the money - how strange eh ??

Jamiedodger when I put my back out I went to a chiropractor - absolutely wonderful ! I felt it ease straight away though it took a few appointments and weeks before completely right.

Natty (hugs). Pleased you feeling a bit better but don't overdo things !

I just have the bathroom left to clean the morrow and then some prep for Christmas dinner. Feeling quite relaxed about it now.

(Hugs), gws vibes and sticks for those needing some
Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas Eve
