Think that backstitch lovers are a pretty rare breed Mary :rotfl:. It does make the design 'pop' so I suppose it's a necessary evil .

It's generally referred to as babs on here (blooming awful backstitch) so I think you are in the majority

Hi all

How wonderful to see the thread nice and busy again. I am loving all the wonderful makes and WIPS. I love how varied our makes are and there is always inspiration for others.

Anyway just a wee mini kit to get me started this year and to start my xmas stock for this xmas. I had started it before xmas but did not get round to finishing it so it is my first completed WIP lol

I am going to start the valentines cards for the boys now and looked out all the threads etc yesterday so all good to go. Just need to make sure that I spend time doing that in the evenings as opposed to spending it on the computer lol

Right update time, I got my new lap frame, can't believe I forgot to tell you and its helping me no end, here's the latest on the leopard.



This is my next project after the leopard, a nice easy colourful stitch and i'm going to mount it in a old hoop that I no longer use.

That's exactly what I want to do. One a month to give me a small stash for xmas. Have quite a few mini kits so those are the ones I plan to do first as they tend to be fairly quick.

Love your leopard it is coming on so well.

Did you find the hydrangea project out of a magazine?because somewhere in my mind I thought I had seen one but can't find which magazine it was,
I was going to do another version as a second cushion so would be interested if it turns up.
I can pass mine on if you fancy it,very easy to follow.

Really cute reindeer,never seem to think about cards until Christmas is knocking on my door then it's too late,good idea to do them through the year.
