Phew, a little bit to catch up on :rotfl:
Mrs Ceejay, I love your framed Sydney, my current project is getting framed in a old hoop that I no longer use. Did you start the old map on aida or buy some linen?
Coxy, congrats on finishing all the drummers, the stitching together is the bit I hate most. I've crocheted the squares for the dog pillow but still not sewn them together, haha. I hope your DH finds a job soon but at least you're getting some of those pesky jobs done
Elizabeth, my bedroom is the only room I can get to use purple, I tried to convince my OH that there was a nice purple stone pebbledash but he was having none of it. Ultimate wildlife sounds like my sort of mag, they do cross stitch favourites but they seem more like collections of old charts.
BEG, glad you had a good time at the exhibition, please find a couple of hours to stitch its so relaxing.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -
nmm: You should take him to Germany - houses of all colours there! I'm sure one in my in-laws' village was purple at one point.Elizabeth
Long-term No Buys: print books, make-up, art/craft items
Lost 8 of the 20lbs I need to shed:D0 -

Just love the colours.
Coxy
I have started on the aida,as it was to use up some of my stash but not sure if I like it.
Not even sure I'm on the right count,it seems to be a bit smaller than I thought, tried counting the holes per inch and it should be right but it seems small, but hey ho it doesn't matter really.
Have a good weekend, hope the weather improves,we have had hail and snow today!!0 -
Hi all, I hope you've enjoyed your extra day off this week and that you managed to get some stitching done. It poured down all day yesterday but was sunny today

Not much to show this week I didn't even complete a full flower. My poor doggy has had seizures for four days in a row then she howled at me everytime I sat down, lol. She's back to normal now so hopefully I can resume stitching next week.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0

Hi
nmm
Poor little dog,my dog is not right either, think she eaten some she shouldn't have, she's looking very sorry for herself at the moment.
Not a lot of stitching done this week, must try harder, have tried to post a photo but it just won't work so I will try later.
Have a good week0 -
Hello lovely stitchers. Here's my updates lately.
2014-2016 - Mmm...Bees Make Honey - Cross-stitch (37) by Kerry, on Flickr
I have also started another one, but I don't seem to have a photo of it to share at the moment.0 -
Kez - that's looks amazing, so colourful. Can I ask about the gridlines on the aida - does it just wash off? I've never used it but it would be good to know.
I've managed a bit more on Collecting Shells - the little girls arm, so lots of different flesh colours. The knitted 12 drummers drumming are coming along. I have made all the bodies and stuffed them, and attached the legs. Next I need to buy some micro buttons as each doll needs 4 on the jacket which need to be sewn on before I attach it to the body. Seems like the only place to buy them is bay of E and they are from Hong Kong so may take a while to get here. No decent haberdashery shops near me that stock them.
Purchased a Stitching Shed sampler for a friend's 50th birthday pressie. Its the hens one:

Not needed until mid-October and I think it will stitch up quickly which is good as I will need to get it professionally framed being as it's a gift.
Hope all are well.
