Hello everyone,
It's been a while since I last posted - sorry, life is very busy. DH was made redundant last Wednesday. We had an idea it would happen but it still feels awful when it does! He has been doing a few jobs around the house and garden whilst looking for something else, which is good. He replaced a fence post yesterday and DS1's room needs decorating, so that will keep him occupied. He has an interview on Monday afternoon, and a couple of other places have his cv so we shall keep our fingers crossed.
On the crafting front, I have been mainly knitting the 12 drummers drumming for my knit and knatter Christmas display. I have decided to knit all the parts first then spend time putting them together so that they all look identical in terms of stuffing, sewn on faces etc. I would estimate that I'm about half way along at least, trying to make a couple of pieces each night (last night a hat and a front body piece) whilst watching corrie on catch up!
This means that I haven't picked up Collecting Shells for a while. I plan to have this as my weekend project for the foreseeable future. I have to help at a church event tomorrow evening up until about 8.30pm but plan to do a bit before and a bit after, then Sunday is free to stitch all evening.
nmm - well done on your leopard progress, it's looking amazing.
Mrs Ceejay - how is Sydney coming along? Not as many colour changes as the New York pattern, but still fairly colour heavy!
Right, better go and dry my hair before going into work. Don't want to scare the congregation lol!
Have a good day all,
Coxy
So sorry about your husbands job, fingers crossed he will find a job soon. Keeping busy helps so get him to catch up with all the jobs that need doing. Your faith will help, as pray is a powerful tool in your life, helped me many times.
Take care and very best of luck to you and your family for the future. Keep smiling. xxx2020 Stash makes/destash 61/1500 -

Hello everyone! :hello:
Don't know if anyone remembers me from 2014. I'm still around, just not doing a lot of cross stitch these days. I do have one project still on the go from back then, so I'll share an update on that soon.
Rosie - sorry to hear that your hubby is out of work. Sounds like he has a good attitude though, not sitting around sulking, but getting on with practical jobs and job hunting. Good man! Someone will snap him up soon.
Happy stitching all!Elizabeth

Wow nmm well done it looks amazing What's next lol?!
I haven't picked up my cross stitch in weeks. I had plans to make it my Saturday and Sunday craft of choice but last weekend and the one before we were out so it didn't happen. I have been knitting the 12 drummers drumming non stop for the last few weeks. Now have 12 front bodies, 12 coats, 10 hats and several pairs of arms and legs. I'm at knitting group tomorrow and will make some more pairs of arms - we chat so much I need something simple to knit so I don't lose my count!
Have taken the decision to cancel my subscription to cross stitch crazy. Partly because of the cost (still no job for DH) but also because I don't have the time to stitch any of the designs - well not at the moment anyway
Hope everyone else is doing okay.
