  • Yes, they were knitted in the round on circular needles, which wasn't too tricky, as you stitched one side and then turned the work for the other side.

We had a craft morning at church last Saturday, which was the last time I picked up the work. I don't seem to have much free time at the moment to enjoy a good stitching session.

Well done on all your projects so far though! :T

Sorry for not replying earlier my keyboard died on me

Coxy, glad you had a great holiday but what a payback to knit 12 drummers drumming, that'll teach you :rotfl: I look forward to updates on those.

Kez, know the feeling well, I get about an hour a day so it takes a while to finish projects.

  • Hi everyone sorry I haven't been in the Cafe much and things have been a bit hectic.

I think the last thing I posted was The Snowman (to be made into cushion later in the year).

The only thing I have been able to stitch since is a birthday card for a friend who is 30 next Monday. It's quite a basic design but the thought was there :rotfl:. I have used sparkly aida although it doesn't show too well on pic and I managed to get all of the stuff from my stash. :D

The latest issue of WOCS fell through my letterbox yesterday. I have opened the packaging and that is about as far as I got with it. We have been decorating at Mum's so I cannot envisage any further stitching for the next few weeks at least.

Hopefully I will have chance to catch up with you all properly sometime this week.

    Take care everyone

This is the mothers day card I completed, I drew the heart aperture freehand so its not quite exact, but I think its good enough.

    Hi everyone,

    Love all the updates!

beg - I wouldn't say the card is a basic design at all - it looks fab and I'm sure your friend will appreciate it.

nmm - the leopard is looking amazing. Keep going, you will have it done by month end I'm sure :)

Mrs Ceejay - glad you've started Sydney. Will it be a pressie for your DD?

After saying that I'd bought Mother's Day cards, I think I must have dreamt it, because they are nowhere to be found! I have a real issue with most Mum cards (for all occasions) as they are too slushy or say things like "you gave up so much for us when we were young etc". I love my mum and we have a good relationship, but she has never said she loves me and tbh I think she found my sister and I a real irritation when we were young. She never played games with us and most of the time we were told off for being too noisy, when actually I don't think we were lol! Anyway I'd like to thank nmm for posting the link to the Mum design, as I've made two cards for my mum and DHs mum which will do very nicely, thanks nmm xx

Hope you all have a great weekend whatever you're up to.
