We would all like to say we would not be scammed like this, but it is so easy to get carried away, a bit like a fruit machine where you think I will win eventually and it must be even harder if you keep being promised you will win.
A shame that it put a dampner on your holiday, but hopefully you may have at least stopped some others getting scammed as well.
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

    Very greedy and gulible!

I also don't think this post is really a 'shop but don't drop', it should be moved.

    friendly place like Blackpool.
    who told you that!

Probably there enemy but didnt no it at the time ;)
  • There's a common saying that I always always repeat to myself

IF ITS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE THEN ITS A SCAM

If you could see it was dodgy before you started then it wouldn't be a scam you would fall for. Therefore you won't "see" the scam until they have your money. I carry a piece of iron pyrites around with me. Its also called fools gold - another reminder for me never to do anything in haste. I would probably have offered to pay with it!
    I don't believe it!

I sometimes think people are a little careless with what they say on these forums. You are basically calling this person a liar and a cheat - you are saying that he scammed you. Having read your description it seems he did exactly what he promised to do. I really can't see why you are complaining? You lost your money because you couldn't throw accurately and still kept trying. If the person read what you have said I'm sure he would probably have grounds for defamation of character...

It certainly should be. And so should the duplicate post.

I'm afraid it's people like this that encourage the so-called scammers to exist. If there were no mugs, there'd be no scammers!

Thanks for this. I'm not greedy. It was about an hour before we were due to go home after a brilliant weekend and all I started off with was wanting a giant eeyor. It was only when my mate had handed his money over that the man on the stall started promising the extra money and bubbly. They were so intimiding it was unreal. I've never been bullied into handing money over like that in my life. The only reason we carried on wasn't out of greed, it was out of wanting to recoup the money we'd already lost. My B&B owner (lovely lady at The Delamere on Barton Avenue) said a 21yr old girl was conned a couple of weeks ago on her first day out of all the money she had with her and 2 lads last week handed over £120.

No, this is a thread to warn people about a scam that happened to my friends and I because I don't want anyone to have to go through it too. If you want to use this forum to be abusive and sarcastic and cocky then I suggest it is your posts that are removed.

blimey! That's terrible. We were in Blackpool last week. We go every year but we never have a go at these games. Not worth it. Why would they give you £50 a bottle of bubbly and a cuddly toy? A proper operator couldn't afford to do that.

Good of you to come and warn people though mate. Hope it didn't spoil your time there too much. Police in Blackpool are more concerned with catching motorists (Have you seen all the speed cameras????) than catching criminals
We had a brilliant weekend thanks. On a lighter note, we saved £10 each on entry to The Syndicate nightclub by signing up for free membership cards. They also had a free chocolate fountain and champagne for the ladies.
