We just didn’t think it was possible for someone to be so devious and caniving in a friendly place like Blackpool.

Friendly place?? The last thing I'd call Blackpool is friendly.

These stats show local crime rates compared to the national average. Violence against a person is more than double the national average, and all of the others are higher.

Once you'd failed after paying the first £10, alarm bells should have rang then.

I'm sorry you were suckered in, but to be fair ~ you handed over your cash, nobody forced you so there isn't anyone to blame but yourselves.

If the man on the stall says he is conducting a survey and asks you to show him your bum, do not show him your bum.

This is a scam - he only wants to see your bum.
  • we have just come back from Blackpool and my daughter wanted a giant Dora soft toy, the man was nice we paid the man £10 to guaruntee the bag she picked contained the said toy, I paid she had a go and got the Dora she wanted - one happy child and mum, that was on a stall on South Pier. so not all of them are there to con.

It has had millions spent over the last few years, including marine drive, lastest is the seafront and harbour and now the north side with a large hotel/complex just being built

I ve read it again and still cant believe you fell for it! If people are stupid enough to hand over money (and then some more) then these things will exists.

Fair play to you though for putting it on here and call it a scam- what did you think you were going to get out of it though, just out of interest? more money?

So when you loose on the horses is that a scam? or putting a pound on the lottery and not winning then putting a another one on and still not winning?

You were being greedy in my opinion and it back fired.

    friendly place like Blackpool.

    who told you that!
