Hope everyone has had a lovely Christmas.
One of my presents this year from the sister who overspent from my earlier post was a fragrance set that I recognised buying her a couple of years ago.
It was one of her favourite perfumes, so I guess she couldn't use it, maybe already had plenty.
I feel bad that she wasn't able to appreciate it herself, but you know what? I am a tiny bit proud of her.Keep reading books!

I have 2 Sisters.
One gave the other a gift that she had received from that Sister the previous year.
She said nothing but was really upset!0 -
My mum bought me a hideous purple cardigan this year. It has bizarrely short sleeves and only extends down to my ribs. I thought she might have got me a child's one by mistake but the label says its is for an adult. It also has glittery bits in. I'm trying to think of somewhere to hide it.
I think it's this one. What was she thinking?

When I was younger (about 7-8 years ago now) I asked my aunt and uncle to buy me some stationery. As I'm also their god daughter and they're reasonably well off, I expected something quite nice, like some pretty things from WHSmiths or similar.
Roll on Boxing Day at their house and I opened my present to find Tesco Value biros (the red/blue/black mix pack ones) and a Tesco Value A4 lined notepad.0 -
Not Christmas but on his 40th birthday my OH was presented by his sister and mother with a painting of his dad who died about 10 years before . It just wasn't something he wanted , not that he had a problem with his dad - just not into portraits hanging on the wall.
We didn't want it in the sitting room so we hung it on the landing at the top of the stairs until the youngest child started crying because he was scared of the picture as the eyes kept following him and he was scared !
I think it's still at the back of the cupboard somewhere0 -
My now Ex Hubby once bought me a laundry basket for Xmas. And as for my MIL neither I nor her 2 grand daughters ever received a Xmas gift from her. I stopped giving her gifts from the girls after a few years.0

We chatted about a week ago about her finances. She's not the sort to admit to feeling low, but she is. I flipping love her. My lovely sister. ☺Keep reading books!

Out of the last five presents I've been given by my friend, for either my birthday or Christmas, four of them were a pair of slippers. I rarely wear slippers.
My friend has said several times she doesn't like slippers either (which makes me wonder if people keep giving her slippers and she's regifting them to me at every opportunity).0
