Thanks Triker, not seen you on here for a while, are you going to Vegas this year?
I've stayed and Southpoint a couple of times and like it a lot but I am back before May 30th so won't be able to make use of this but good to know it's an annual contest!
Just had a look at it and entered anyway, might win the big prize!!
Hi,
Hoping to get to Vegas later on this year. We went the year before last -November- but unfortunately we had a massive life event happen (not a good one) whilst we were there and to be honest it soured things for a long time.
However, dust off and crack on and we have some amazing offers, including Sam's Town who offer us 5 free nights, Gold Card for unlimited free dining and some freeplay, so seems rude not to go.:D
So I'm watching the dollar and starting to have a real mooch at dates and times.
I'd really like to go for at least 2 weeks in order to get out to Bryce and explore further afield.
Will keep you posted.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

I'm really sorry to hear thatbut think your attitude to moving on is very positive and nice to see you back, your info and knowledge regarding Desert Rose was very helpful to us. I don't have any experience with Sam's Town but if I can help with any Vegas stuff (that you don't already know....which is unlikely!) I'd be happy to help!:)

welcome back, Triker, and sorry to hear that things have been rough...glad to see that the Vegas bug has got you again.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

Sams Town!
I like that place, got a silver coin $1 piece at home..
Infact, I cant wait to spend a few nights in Downtown when we go in a few months!
Sams Town, The D, California, am gonna spend some money in those casinos, and hope for the big wins!!
RIO Hotel:
I know its off strip, but for any of u who have stayed there, are the pools quite good ? doing a google map view, the pools look OK and big, so am working an angle with a CET host at the mo to get 2 nights out of them, for either Ceasars or the RIO, and if I'm right, the pools at the RIO look a bit better than that of CP ?0 -
I like Rio pool area. It's pretty spacious. The music is deafeningly loud though, so I used earplugs. I've looked round Caesars pool area but haven't used it.0

If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
haha, doh !!!
Been one of those days, for some reason, I was thinking Sams Town was Freemont Street Casino (silver $1 chips)... No idea why I thought that !0 -

Fridays seem to be a bit earlier. Just looked at Friday in February and the times were 17:02, 17:20, 16:56 and 16:58.
Weekends seem to be a later. Just looked at Saturday and Sunday in February and the times were 20:18, 22:50, 20:23, 20:31, 20:23, 20:06, 20:19 and 20:10.
thanks again for this - 20:18 today and got the 2x Aria buffets after weeks of my hubby trying.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
No worries ferf1223. Glad to hear you got a decent reward that sells out quickly.
My knowledge of LV is limited, but have learnt lots of excellent tips from here, so it is nice to give a little back.0 -

I like the Rio- Pool is OK and rooms are big - and easy to get comps/upgrades. Not overstruck on their casino though and generally stroll to the Gold Coast or Palms instead.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
