Has anyone booked for later next year at all? I have often booked September flights by this stage, but haven't seen any good deals. Flights are well over £700 so far, although Thomas Cook do seem to have a cheaper direct flight from Glasgow, though not on the days I'd prefer.

I have seen a decent deal flying to Los Angeles with BA, think it's around £580. We did this a few years back, stayed a few nights in Culver City, then Vegas, the Long Beach on the way home. Quite enjoyed. Might consider this type of thing again.

Booked for April with Virgin, LHR to IAD, LAS to LGW... £460pp which we were pleased with. That was in early September.

But not yet seen any decent offers for Vdara or Cosmopolitan, which is where we'd like to stay.

What's the cost for IAD to LAS?

I always hire a car in Vegas it is one of the few remaining bargains in Vegas along with petrol at 50p a litre. The new drawback is parking charges at the hotels that is spreading to all the strip hotels.

    Hi

This is only our 2nd visit and this time we are having a car for a few days so we can go to The Red Rock Canyon etc.

We're going DCA-LAS non-stop, ended up costing £260, could have got it for about £200 if I'd booked much earlier, but thought I'd wait it out for winter offers, but they never came! Even jumped to about £380 at one point!

Lesley, you might want to keep an eye on this. Only until Apr at the moment but might be useful for anyone else looking for one way LA to LAS.

Private Jet flight for $99 on selected dates...

I'd also like to join the register for visits to Vegas next year.

It's been a while since i've had the need to read through the Las Vegas thread, almost 8 years in fact due to redundancy and the money issues that tend to follow that type of life changing event. Nice to see so many names I recognise from before still here and still being so helpful too.

I'll be there in May after having spent a week in Seattle first, managed to use my saved air miles to get flights for £277.00 with Virgin so felt it hard not to take advantage of such a good price. I'm hoping that the enjoyment I had in my previous two trips, one accompanied and one solo, will still be there for this one.

I see that a lot of the sights and shows are still there, though some of the shows have moved locations, anything new that I shouldn't miss? The city centre development was still being built last time I was there so obviously worth an explore.

Thanks for all the information i've picked up from the thread so far.

The High Roller at the Linq - it's fab. And, The Freemont Street Experience zip line if you like anything like that (granted we went on in 2011, but it's even bigger now) And if you are a KISS fan, mini golf at the Rio - plus the opportunity to buy a KISS bear (I bought the Gene Simmons one thanks to a $40 win :rotfl:)
And we discovered the beauty of Ellis Island because of this thread. If you haven't been, go, the chicken is wonderful, and great value.
The regulars will be on to guide you further - I've bound to have missed tons of stuff :)
Only downsides are the stupid resort fees, and the stupid car parking charges.
    HTH :)

We've got a Feb trip booked and I'm looking at Sept.

I expect a BA sale to start in the next couple of days. They've had one start on or around Dec 19th for the last 4 years at least.

I've just booked through booking.com for Feb at Paris. Still shows free parking at all stages of the process so I'll be arriving armed with screenshots ready for an argument!!

We stayed at the Venetian - no charges there. Also none at SLS (although we saw a sign online that said it did) Stratosphere, Circus Circus, Rio, Gold Coast & Tropicana (we parked there every time we drove down the Strip except for one night when we parked at Luxor and was charged $8)
We got charged $3 at, I think its the Main Street Casino car park at Freemont. That wasn't too bad. I still think they have a cheek charging though. I don't know how it works if you stay at a place that charges - do you get a refund/partial refund depending on the length of your stay?
