Hi Jester have sent you a PM
thanks0 -
The time is fast approaching - we'll be in Vegas from the 21st - 2nd Jan.
There used to be an ATM that charges a buck a withdrawal - any reasonable ones left?0 -
That one is now $3. I think it still may be the cheapest one.0

Has anyone booked for later next year at all? I have often booked September flights by this stage, but haven't seen any good deals. Flights are well over £700 so far, although Thomas Cook do seem to have a cheaper direct flight from Glasgow, though not on the days I'd prefer.
I have seen a decent deal flying to Los Angeles with BA, think it's around £580. We did this a few years back, stayed a few nights in Culver City, then Vegas, the Long Beach on the way home. Quite enjoyed. Might consider this type of thing again.0 -
We have booked for the end of July next year. We booked with Thomas cook going from stansted as the flights were coming up
So much cheaper than what we normally pay with virgin.0 -
We have booked direct from Manchester with Thomas Cook for the beginning of October. The price was £550.
Not a big fan of TC but they do get you to Vegas by lunchtime on the same day you leave Manchester....we felt it gained us half a day extra holiday last time,so happy to use them again.0 -
Our last trip was with TC. Our next trip is with virgin for £45 less. To be fair, TC were fine, but I'd go for virgin every time because the don't charge for water. Our flight back on 4/5 Dec we only got offered free water once in 10 hours. I asked for water to take medication and was quoted the bottled water price. I eventually got free water for my meds but it wasn't easy.0

I think the ATM at walmart on Eastern ave charges $3 or less, but beware it ate my card a week ago. Luckily a staff member was able to open the machine and retrieve my card.0

that's shocking. Charging for water full stop is bad enough...but when it's clear it's to take medication and having to fight for it? Just, no.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

It's ridiculous isn't it.
We have only used them once..last year...and I said at the time, after finding their website awful to use, being charged for films and then being charged for soft drinks, that I wouldn't use them again.
But as said above,I do like the fact we leave at 9.15am and your in Vegas by lunchtime.
So once we are aware of the "extra" costs it's not a deal breaker to fly with them....it's only £4 each for 10 hours of films, and we can buy drinks at the airport before we leave this next trip.
Think you still gets drinks with your meal...so that's something I guess.:rotfl:
Plus at £550 direct, that is still cheaper than quite a lot of out indirect flights over the last few trips....so,as said, the few pounds extra aren't really to bad...though no one should have to pay for a cup of water,if asking for one.
I agree that Virgin direct is better...obviously no IFE charges, and unlimited soft and alcoholic drinks..but their prices for when we book are nearly always a fair bit more.Only booked direct with them twice when prices were more competitive with our dates.
At the end of the day,if a certain carrier is about £150 pp cheaper for flights we will go with them.:cool:0
