Might steer clear of Florida what with the Zika virus knocking about! Though would hopefully have cleared by September!

Am up for any sort of holiday really, as long as it's relaxing, hence a deliberately open "where else do you like?" question :)

Do any Vegas lovers have other favourite holiday destinations we could consider for a week's hols in September? I know it won't be Vegas, but...
We love Biloxi MS but there are no direct flights, easiest way is direct to Atlanta then either a short haul down to Gulport / Biloxi airport (about 1 hr 10 mins) or drive down but that's around 5 1/2 hours.
Casino's are good and you can use MYVegas points. Several very good shopping outlets (but you will need a car)

Thanks secret for taking the time to do first pages, especially as you are not going this year!

Not long haul but I like Malta, St Julians has 3 casinos and the newest one is trying hard to be Vegas like and give complimentary wine/beer which I haven't come across in Europe. Of course they are nothing like Vegas casinos but have slot machines so suit me.
The food is lovely, lots of very good restaurants with very reasonable costs. The people are very friendly and can recommend The Westin Dragonara hotel, excellent customer service. Not much in the way of shopping and no beaches but can only think of one at Mandalay Bay in Vegas ;)

ooh, now we have mentioned Malta in the past :)
going to Google those places now, thanks bubble!
  • I was going to say Malta too!

We have stayed at Intercontinental, Corinthia Marina, and Cavalieri (Listed in order from higher to lower rating). All in St Julians. Have also stayed in Sliema at the Crowne Plaza which is no longer there. There are nice apartments if you don't care for a pool.

thanks Lesley, Corinthia Marina looks really interesting and good value... a week in September in a sea view suite, with breakfast, comes in at just under £750pp.

might PM if I have any questions if that's ok? this is the Vegas thread after all, sorry!

    No problem, feel free.

It has a Casino, as someone else stated. Bit like Vegas. That just about keeps me on topic :)
