MY Vegas facebook game.
I know you get to redeem 3 comps per rolling 90 days - have enough for $50 dollar slot credit and a couple of buffets but was wondering as the helicopter flight around the strip is not connected to any hotel can you redeem one of those too?? making 4 in total.0 -
(Edit: this was a follow on from HotPotato's post)
Annoyingly existing security checks are not valid too. You have to get a brand new check as it's built into the GOES process (last I read)
I'd see value if I went the USA once a month, but it's a lot of faff and cost for saving a little time.
We go MIA next week. Don't recall having significant problems there before but I'm aware it can be a pain. I'm hoping the new machines will help. I got from landing to outside in less than 30minutes when I used them at SFO a few months ago0 -

yes, the rewards that are not associated with MGM properties are in addition to your limit of 3. I think it's a 30 day period vs 90 days.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
The interview is in the US, so you wouldnt be able to use GE on the trip you're going on. In vegas the interview is at the airport, so you'd have to take part of your day to go the office. Its quick and easy once you're in the interview, but was a little wait.
the interview was the part that put us off of whatever the previous incarnation of this was...it wasn't clear to us how much flexibility in scheduling something. It's less of an issue for us as my hubby just comes through the US line with me, but in general agree that for a limited number of trips it may not be worth the faff...but for someone who goes several times a year, it may be handy.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Yes, its very good, but several things, why do you want it? its for frequent travellers to the US. You also have to get a criminal back ground check in the uk to submit with your application which must come back No Trace, which you take to your interview. Unless you're going to the US 3+ times a year I probably wouldnt bother. It comes into its own in airports like JFK and MIA where there can be huge waits.
We've been going once a year for the past couple of years, sometimes twice - the last few times it has been JFK so we've been trying to find quicker ways to get through (although the final time at LAS took a bloody long time).
We're certainly not *very* frequent visitors, but JFK has driven us mad!0 -
159 for us so we will be out the same time as you. We are staying for 6 nights at the Wynn Encore flying from Edinburgh.
We're flying from Manchester. No hotels booked yet, we're still deciding between using our comps and staying at Excalibur and Monte Carlo or staying somewhere different but paying for it. I fancy Cosmo but suspect free rooms will win!"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

I looked at using Westjet, as the pricing seems good..
I nearly booked the route via Toronto, but when I came to book, they changed the structure, so its like Ryanair. IE: Flight + £100 for Baggage..
Worth giving a go, reviews I read about them seem ok0 -
hey everyone, so sorry for the delay updating the front page... I've now copied/pasted all the info across and the first post (with social media links, etc.) should now be up-to-date.
The bulk of the content can stay the same, I'll now go through the posts to check for accuracy - broken URLs, price/time corrections, etc.
I'd appreciate someone contributing an update for the Social Reward/My Vegas part, and the Car Rental part - these are two things I know nothing about!
There seem to be quite a few posts on here about the social rewards, maybe we can reduce the length of that post on the front page, if it's not as effective these days? Or just some basic guidelines?0 -

cheers Stuie! I was looking at WestJet for other longhaul holiday destinations.
I don't think Vegas is a realistic option this yearjust coming out too expensive. We're kinda limited to direct flights, as we only have a week's holiday to play with, so would rather spend time on holiday rather than travelling.
Do any Vegas lovers have other favourite holiday destinations we could consider for a week's hols in September? I know it won't be Vegas, but...0 -
