Also food is decent, but small portions. We always take a few extra snacks, but we do like our food.
Imo TC is fine, nothing fancy. They are decent value for money when you drop on a deal.
Thanks thats what we thought. We were not planning on going again next year but these flights came up £1000 cheaper than what we paid this year with virgin. To be honest this year we were not impressed with virgin the food was awful!!0 -
We are also going in November, though more in the middle. Not expecting the weather to be great, so thinking we might do things like that at that time of year too. Haven't been when the weather is cooler, and we're conscious we don't want to be drinking during the day so it's not like we can do 'evening' things during the day.0

is there anything to consider when making "free cancellation" hotel reservations (apart from remmbering to cancel them if you don't want them
).
Do you have to pay a deposit, etc.? Or do you literally just give some details and make a reservation for "free"?
We're booking flights / hotels separately or the first time, so don't want to get caught out on anything0 -

depends on the t and c for individual hotels but most vegas hotels require first night deposit which is refundable if you cancel (you may win or lose some depending on the exchange rate)0 -

thanks photome, I wasn't sure if you have to pay any deposit, or you simply register card details?
i read that if you cancel, but not before the given deadline, they will charge you the first night's accommodation + fees/taxes.0 -

I agree re Virgin! Can I ask when your going and how much you paid, as I'd love to go in August. We're going in April, but would love to go for my birthday too:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -

We are going July 27 for 2 weeks. Think it was £2671 for the 4 of us. Thats 3 adults and 1 child. Can't believe my eldest who turns 12 in may is now classed as an adult!!0 -

Again it is different for different hotels but generally speaking that is the case, they will charge you (or keep ) the first night charges if you dont cancel before the deadline.
I have had multiple bookings in the past and it has never been a problem to cancel and get the first night deposit returned, as i mentioned though, if paying in dollars which you would be if booking direct, you can gain or lose when they return your deposit depending on exchange rates0 -
Back from second trip to Vegas this year.
Gambling went a bit better than May visit....we just about broke even,so good result for us.
We had a room booked through Mlife at Luxor for 4 nights, and never paid a deposit on that room for some reason.Just paid total at check in.
Like photome says,it's usually first nights deposit that's taken. Both our other two hotels took first night deposit.Cancellation without loss of first nights payment is often just 24 hours prior to stay,or at most just a few days before.0
