Yes pennylane. We fly from Manchester. That's far enough to travel for us.

Driving down there this afternoon to drop the oh off. That's 5 hours round trip.

Didn't think there could be that much difference in price between the 2. I live in the north east and usually travel to Gatwick/Heathrow..mainly to use the Virgin Clubhouse facilities. Will have to look at Manchester as well in future. Thank you.

    hi

having been a little inspired but the recent posts in reagrds flights and having looked through junes vegas holiday pics with my brother I was so close to booking up again with thomas cook, direct flights glasgow > vegas return, choosing our seats also,
19th june -29th june was just over £579 each !

so tempting! just maybe have to try tempt my brother now or go myself

Has anyone ever done vegas alone?
I would be tempted to do it myself but would be worried about silly things like eating alone , going to a show alone,so any advice in regards that most welcomed

if it wasn't for Mrs. SM, I'd be all over doing a solo Vegas trip! I think it would be amazing, and you'll always find people to chat to... and probably a good bunch of people flying solo too :)

i'd be quite envious of you!

I often go to Vegas on my own .Eating is not a problem especially at Buffets, many travellers are there for conventions and go without their partners. The only downside is missing out on 2 for 1 deals. I always hire a car, switch on the Satnav and go for an adventure San Diego ,Death Valley etc . 3 weeks just fly by and then the planning starts for the next trip.
  • £532 for flying LHR-WAS, LAS-LGW next Easter.
So tempting, though not sure OH will agree..!

    if only it were nearer!
i'm similar, I won't go out of my way to talk to just anyone, but there are lots of lovely, similar people out there... in a place like Vegas i'm sure you'd be surprised how many genuine, lovely people there are out there.

i'd equally be happy not talking to a soul and doing my own thing! :)

For some reason I can't figure out, BA from NCL has been cheaper than getting flights from LHR.

for example I booked flights yesterday for my Aunt and her friend to come out to Vegas for some of our trip yesterday for £540 each return from NCL.

If I select the same dates from LHR the cheapest possible is £680.

It's very odd and was the same when I booked our flights during the recent sale.
