Stayed at the GN in 2013 for 2 nights over the Punk Bowl weekend (memorial), didn't get to use the pool, but rooms were OK, good hotel, and Downtown in general just rocks! do like Freemont street!
Oh, and the California, that's where I scored my first '3-of-a-kind' on 3card poker, winning just over $1k!
Told the wife we gotta do at least 2 drunken nights in Downtown this year, Bus it up, taxi back!

I thought we might be able to get in a trip to LV in September, but that's looking unlikely as it's coming in really quite expensive. oh well!

There is only one decent pool downtown, that is the GN.

Never stayed, but always thought the rooms at Downtown Grand look good for the money.

TC have a few cheap MAN to LAS in Feb and March.
eg. 17/02 - 24/02 or 02/03 for £400.
eg 06/03 - 16/03 or 20/03 for £430.

Looking at budget option for 5 days of my May 2016 trip.

Any opinions on TheLinq or Treasure Island which is £80 less ??

I do have about 300 dollars over 2 TR accounts to reduce bill for the Linq but could use that on other things.

I'd be inclined to try TI just because I've never stayed there before, but you can't beat the location of Linq.
