Has anyone used Thomas Cook direct from Manchester to Las Vegas recently? Its a long time since we flew with them and wondered what they were like these days.

Flew with them in May, and everything was fine. We are 6ft and leg room was ok, we are a couple so enjoy just sitting in a 2, food fine (not enough though so add in a few stacks for the journey). Free tv was pretty poor, but £4 for premium gave much more choice. They are constantly try to sell you things though, eg headphones £4 (just take your own).

We are flying with them again in November. Price is £460, and whilst it might not be exceptional service etc, I think it offers value for money.

I will add that (iirc) they had a new computer system near the end of last year and it caused not end of hassle for some people, eg could not log in to end details. This resulted in long wait times trying to contact them on the phone.

I have also read a few negative comments about them on here since our May trip, so I guess other people will offer very different advice.
  • Recently started Social Rewards / Total Rewards. Can someone please confirm that you do not need to be staying in 1 of their properties to be able to cash in.

We have used them the last few years as they are really the only direct flight to Vegas in Oct/Nov(no more changing planes for me in snowy Chicago!!)
we used them again in June and they are ok,I have actually been on worse..If you can get extra legroom seats it's great...however if you can't they are still ok.You do have to pay for everything, films, drinks ect.Thry are a stickler on excess luggage..I always pay for an extra suitcase because I know they charge a fortune per kg.

Just to add their booking site is a nightmare...I am struggling to pre book seats for Oct..
  • I'm back after another great trip - boohoo! Will write a trip report of some sort in the next couple of days before I forget everything.

While I remember, I have a Groupon for $18 of food Jimmy's Seaside Fries that we didn't use. It expires mid October so if anyone who's visiting before would like it send me a pm with your email address and I'll send it over

    Stupid Q ;)

    For what?

You can use that code to save 25% off the groupon vouchers. Go to https://www.groupon.com and then put Las Vegas in. You can then get 25% off the prices you see.

I've already purchsed some, such as Gaetano's $40 credit, Senor Frogs yard drinks, etc. Not sure I need any more, well there's nothing there that interests me for now.
