Dontone....have you managed to pre book your seats and extra case yet??I am still toying with the extra case scenario,we said we were not doing that much shopping on this trip as I do lots in October but I am just scared the temptation wll be too much for me to resist!I know it's more expensive if you book at the airport instead of online so still toying with it.Thus time next week we will be on route!

Nope, it still isn't working (stupid thing)
I managed to get in touch with them on Facebook, and I have it in writing that 'they've updated the system, yak, yak, yak' 'keep trying'. What they also said, is that if we can't do it, to go a bit earlier and let the airline fill it in.
I'm going to print the response off just in case.
It isn't half annoying, we can't do anything on the stupid thing. Although we were on about bringing another case back, so we only pay once ;) We'll have to see what happens

Keep on at them on Facebook. Post it every day that you have still had no joy. I had a problem with Virgin and after a few days of harassing them on Facebook l, I got a phone call from head office that sorted my problem out.

Any holiday company hates bad publicity so keep at them. They will try hard to help just to stop you posting.

Just sent them a message on their wall. Fed up of it now. I don't have any confidence in them doing the API form on the day.
I've never known a holiday being so stressful, and we haven't even set off.
Funny how they take ages to get in touch, Expedia replied within 20 mins.

I just read about this on one of the Vegas Facebook groups, I cannot explain how exciting this is for someone who has been to and loved the original in Chicago!

At least some good has come of those stupid, stupid shops.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

You might like to try Dandelion and Burdock, it's very similar to root beer.

    Yes it is.

Used to be able to get concentrated Sasperilla (sp). Dilute it and it tastes like un-carbonated Root Beer.
    Found a link to it

Also McDonalds used to sell root beer in the UK for some years before they dropped it. I did my bit to keep it going I can tell you.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

I agree with you. Who in their right mind thought it was a good idea to put a load of tat shops up right smack centre strip.

  • Has anyone been to Secret Pizza in the Cosmopolitan? We are going back in October and hoping to come across it this time. :D also does anyone know of any other 'fun places' to eat? Also a good place for pasta and Mexican? We went with family last time so was restricted on food so didn't really find anywhere that was really good.

Also, last time we went we had a hire car and went to Wallmart to pick up some American food, this time we are without a car so was wondering if there is a large-ish supermarket on the strip?

The secret pizza is good and really not hard to find.

In the Cosmo you have China Pablano which is a really interesting Chinese Mexican fusion. We really like Cabo Wabo for Mexican, it might not be the culinary purist's choice but for atmosphere and location it can't be beaten, sitting outside on The Strip.

Also in the Cosmo is DOCG, an Italian restaurant... not cheap but fantastic food (ravioli was to die for), and the service was exceptional.

For fun, in the Cosmo, Rose Rabbit Lie is a place like no other...

    Bon appetit!

Not as far as I know. Here's some possibilities fairly near the strip (you can zoom in and pan round for detail):
