Hi Everyone,
we are going to Vegas on Monday, can anyone recommend a few places to eat? I've seen Ellis island recommended on here but if you have anymore, Our budget isnt huge so any information would be a great help!
Should i stay away from the major hotel resturants?
Thanks

$75 against a bill of $150 at Tender steakhouse (believe me you won't find it difficult to get to $150 in there)
and a free evening buffet at More Luxor - we both played the game so had one each a saving of $48.
Enjoy when you get there.
hi
seems you had some fun in vegas, and the 3 rewards well i do like them !
Just a quick question if i could in regards the $50 freeplay. I have got mine, (for the mgm where we are staying) how easy was it to activate? was it a couple of bucks to put in and bingo you have $50
was there a range of slots you could playor was it limited?
6 days to go:T0 -
Dontone I'm pretty sure if you booked through Expedia that they can't help you in the shop....hopefully this is wrong and you get it sorted.0

Exactly what happened Hovis. I told them that their helpline & website was useless as well. TBF the lady did her best, gave me a number to try, but she said that she had a few customers who couldn't get anywhere with the website, but we could fill in all the info at the airport - just get there early. I feel like a pinball being bounced about all over. It was worth a try I suppose.
Anyway, DH is going to give that site you mentioned earlier a go. I've never known it to be this frustrating going on holiday.

I don't know about the hotel restaurants, apart from there was a nice pizza place in Mirage that was reasonable and rather generous. Myself and DH usually go to the food courts for meals because they are rather nice (I recommend - if it's still there - the pulled pork place in Caesers Palace 'cos it's amazing) Also there are the fast food places like Nathans (do try the fries with melted cheese & bacon and their lemonade) Panda Express, and even McDonalds, which is far superior than what we get here. Oh yeah, and I also recommend the Philadelphia Steak & Hoagie place in the Fashion Mall. Their Chicken cheesesteak is wonderful. All in all, there are tons of places to eat - a few peeps on here like the buffets as well, but I'm not overly keen. HTH
p.s Don't forget the compulsory visit to Ben & Jerry's in either Treasure Island or NY NYBEST EVER WINS WON IN ORDER (so far) = Sony Camcorder, 32" lcd telly, micro ipod hifi, Ipod Nano, Playstation 3, Andrex Jackpup, Holiday to USA, nintendo wii, Liverpool vs Everton tickets, £250 Reward Your thirst, £500 Pepsi, p&o rotterdam trip, perfume hamper, Dr Who stamp set, steam cleaner.

hiya. Tried another browser and it didn't work. I think that I'll try the shop route. Sick of being fobbed off by the 'helpline' They keep insisting that it has to be done online, it just feels like they are fobbing us off all the time.
Thanks very much
Yes you do need to do API (advanced passanger info)
It does seem strange that it doesnt work, if you booked with expedia maybe you have to do it on an expedia page or link
I assume you have tried that route.
Having said that if you can see your flight on thomas cook website, (can you) you would think it straightforward
edit, i see there have been more posts than i read up to duh0 -
We have used Thomas cook for the first time ever on this trip.
We will Not be using them again.I will not go into details,as I cannot be bothered to waste my time any more on them.....but I will say,I have just rang them this morning from my hotel room here in Vegas, and once again they are less than useless at being helpful.0 -

If your budget is small
then ellis island is perfect, make sure to sign up to the players club and print off the vouchers.
steak special one night, BBQ another night, steak special for breakfast (different to eve) in the cafe, and still have change from $30
lots of fast food outlets.
Buffets are great value but not if you stay on the strip
Orleans and Gold coast both do great value ones and you could use the shuttle from the strip to get to both
of course it does depend on your definiton not huge
there are thousands of eating paces in Vegas ranging from $1 hot dogs to mega bucks meals0 -

I wish it was. They have our details, they know we are on the flight, the details are there, it's just this form and the seats we can't seem to sort out. I'm dizzy from all the going round in circles. It's not so much as it doesn't work, it's the being fobbed off all the time that's annoying. You would think that they could do everything over the phone, but the standard response is 'you have to do it online' and when you say 'it doesn't work' It's like 'well, we do have problems but keep trying' aaaaarrrrrrrrrrggggghhhhhhhhhh!!!!
The 'phone the Embassy' one yesterday was an absolute cracker, even the lady I spoke to at the shop today looked at me gone out. It's like they don't know their bum from their elbow.
Normally I really look forward to going to Vegas, this time it just seems extremely stressful (and I don't deal with stress very well) I'll be fine once I get there.BEST EVER WINS WON IN ORDER (so far) = Sony Camcorder, 32" lcd telly, micro ipod hifi, Ipod Nano, Playstation 3, Andrex Jackpup, Holiday to USA, nintendo wii, Liverpool vs Everton tickets, £250 Reward Your thirst, £500 Pepsi, p&o rotterdam trip, perfume hamper, Dr Who stamp set, steam cleaner.

- are there any booking fees
- Is it worth using points for the metro and is it worth getting passes for these
