Well great start to the holiday.........after flying from Glasgow to Heathrow, I caught the next leg to SFO, but my bag didn't!

Apparently it will be delivered to where we are staying tomorrow morning (2 days later).

BA gave me a $100 pre paid MasterCard, so we made a late night trip to Target for underwear, a couple of t shirts , socks and PJs.

Spent today wearing tracksuit bottoms, a captain America t shirt and ugg boots with unwashed hair as I have no dryer or straighteners! :mad:

Keep your fingers crossed for me that it DOES arrive tomorrow!

Thats a crap start! hope it arrives soon

Unusual for a hotel not to have a hair dryer, even if it means borrowing one from reception.

Are you travelling alone? we always share our clothes between cases in the hope that even if one gets lost we will get the other

could it be possiable if you are flying with BA in your return leg to say to the check in people how bad experince you have had and try get a free upgrade?or free something? i know you have gotten $100 free but you never know?

Photome....... I'm not at a hotel I'm staying with my dad who is as bald as a coot! Had to wash it on the end and let it air dry but with that and no straighteners it ain't pretty LOL

Loooks like yesterday's BA LHR to Vegas got as far as Ireland and returned to Heathrow with tech problems inbound flight to Vegas was posting a 17 hour delay.

Personally I don't think many lounges are worth paying for unless you have a long layover and if your brother wants it to get tanked up on free booze before boarding there's always the risk of denied boarding if toooooo intoxicated so maybe balance the risk Bobby !

I'd rather spend the money on a decent meal at the airport - the only time I ever felt I got good value out of a (paid for) lounge was when I got a flight cancelled at Denver then the rebooked flight six hours later got delayed and finally cancelled at midnight so ten hours access was worth it.

We combined the two -made for a nice day with a bit of wandering into the casino now and again too for a flutter. I thought it was worth the drive for a change of pace.

Ok thanks for the feedback and i am weighing up the pros and cons of everything, just as Winter Jasmine said above I also feel airport prices are a bit ott(im sure there are deals to be had though)

and to everyone whom has given me advice, just need to try work out how to get resort fees waived-reduced now !!

On a side note before i forget, Im sure i read somewhere that in your *welcome pack* when you stay at a hotel you sometimes get comp buffets(maybe other things too?) am i dreaming this? im sure we have never gotten this? we are staying at the mgm grand

On another bit of a side note aout comps and im sure 3-4months ago there were some advice, but is it worth ASKING for them? for us nothing fancy just a few buffet passes( ye ye greedy so and so s we are:D)
If you have asked for them how have you done? whom did you ask?
