Lovely morning so far. Cleared and polished lounge table while wm had load going round. Mr N hoovered while I was at church. Lovely carol service, I loved my reading which is one I've wanted to do for years.
Got home and my brother and SIL had just arrived, so Mr N had let them in and exchanged carrier bags of presents - including a bag of apples for my mum plus 2 books I'm sure are hers (they are going to her on Xmas day) so that's a bit more decluttering. We enjoyed coffee, gingerbread biscuits, butternut & leek soup then more gingerbread. I'll have to make some more this eve, as I have a friend coming round for coffee tomorrow.......never mind, it was an easy recipe.
Family now gone and lounge looks clean and tidy. Kitchen is clean-ish and tidy - ish although a few bits of flower stuff around as I have a couple more arrangements to do this week.
Next plan is send last couple of ecards and see if I can finish a report. Chilli is cooked for this eve. Picking up MIL at 5.45, meeting friends then all going to carol service in next village, then back to ours for dinner. Enjoyable and unstressed so far.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

Sounds like I need to send healing to Jazee's LittleyDog. Vibes on their way.
Jack is (cross fingers) doing well; we had a bit of a hiccup when I discovered that he didn't have enough fludrocortisone tablets with him (thanks to whatever deity cares to take credit for prompting me to count them!) but the franchisee is on it, and a supply will be with me before he runs out. Jack knows nothing of this of course.:D But I'm getting his meds down him with no trouble, and he's enjoying his walks and his food, so we must be doing something right.:o
I had a very rough "lupus day" as I call them yesterday; Mr LW also thinks stress is playing a major part. I wasn't even able to take Jack for his morning walkies.:( Luckily Mr LW stepped up to the plate and took the little guy. When I hear of the problems some of you have with uncooperative OH's, I am so grateful mine is as helpful as he is!:A
Tbh, I shall be glad when all the "festive" stuff is over and we can get back to a semblance of normal. We didn't even bother attempting the usual F&V run into town yesterday, we knew it would be a total feeding frenzy. Mr LW had to go to Stony Stratford to collect some shoes (both his and mine) from the menders so I suggested he got the few bits we needed there. Bit more expensive than Central MK market, but worth it under the circumstances. And the menders have performed miracles with my 25 year old Hu$h Pupp!es.:TIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
LW - I could have sent Jack some of my DS's tablets!
I haven't got a lot done today although I did go food shopping this morning. I'm absolutely shattered tonight though and have just been asleep on the chair. I'll have to knuckle down tomorrow and get some stuff done!NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

YSL - hope you and the family don't starve before Xmas.
LW - Thank you, fingers crossed LittleyDog is on the mend.
So my afternoon comprised putting two washloads on the airer, taking the dogs to the carol concert (dressed up for Xmas) where they behaved impeccably, and watching It's A Wonderful Life for the first time ever. What a great film.
Have had tea and now plan to read a book for the rest of the evening while cuddling the dogs.
See you all on the new thread tomorrow.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

Hi all,
Been out most of the day at parties, and now I've come to hide upstairs as DS had the wooden railway out earlier and I agreed he could leave it there for morning. He also wants to go out on his bike if the wind drops a bit - I think he'd blow over!
Did get some washing done before, and kitchen is clean - but I have wrapping to do for the parentals - a job for tomorrow. Didn't get round to the bathrooms so that's on the agenda too.
Finished last of antib's and having checked it looks like the abcess is cleared :T phew. I will keep on with the saline rinses and c0rsodyl and hopefully it will stay away till January...
Right. Will check weather forecast and go to bed I thinkBossymoo
