I cannot go to work with current pain I have, so I am genuinely losing money through this, through no fault of my own. I do not think this is unjust whatsoever.

You need to get a self certification form from your GP surgery that covers you for the first 7 days and your employer should either pay company sick pay or SSP, if they only pay SSP then you don't get paid for the first 3 days. If you are successful in a whiplash claim it will take a few months to come through or maybe longer.

You are the one spouting nonsense, I don't know a single person who would be looking to slam in a chaim in so quickly. Most of us are honest and don't go round making claims for non existent injuries.

Great to see that we have a resident soft tissue injury expert who can diagnose based on a few posts on a forum.

For goodness sake this happened yesterday, in the longer time the OP may have a claim but as far as we know he has not even seen a GP yet, but is already dreaming of compo.
  • be honest, you don't know many people do you?

Please share your medical credentials to make this diagnosis

Just ignore all the pulpit bashers and anti claiming brigade (wonder what they would do were they the innocent passenger in their friend's car who crashed and left them in pain/disabled/dead!)

I don't think they'd be doing much if they were dead.

Keep pedalling was not offering a diagnosis, nor claiming any medical expertise. Just observing that the OP was desperate to get their whiplash claim in before seeking medical advice to establish how serious it was, and for how long it will last.

No. Go read the posts again.

The phrase used was "non existent injuries" so there must be a level of medical expertise to be able to determine that the OP is not actually injured.

  • I would imagine that Keep pedalling has exactly the same level of medical expertise as the OP, who has self-diagnosed whiplash injuries.

The difference being that the OP is experiencing the injury whilst you and KP are merely speculating and being judgemental.
