Savvy, I'm really sorry but I haven't got a clue what you are going on about ! (This might be partly due to my consumption of a large Jack Daniels and half a bottle of wine with my dinner - but I'm overnighting on my way to Heathrow so my holiday had started already).
I did mean s h o t , I didn't mistype and I don't know why the censor cut in. I also don't understand why this might have caused you offense but I'm sorry if it did.
I still reckon I got a very good deal out of Samsung !
No, no offence taken. My response to seeing that was "well why the **** is it doing that?":rotfl::rotfl:

They shot themselves in the foot.
These pesky censors that actually cause more problems than they solve. It's a good job that you didn't cause me offence, as the cause of the offence, if that had arisen, would have been the forum censor itself.
It is not unknown for so-called 'filters' to end up causing people offence. I will not go into details but there is at least one reported case of someone else posting on a website that they had sent a message to a player in a computer game. They used - well maybe I will go into the details:rotfl: - they used a contraction of the words "who are you" and the computer felt they meant something else and replaced the first part with asterisks - guess what the player that received that then thought? I have myself, in RL, on at least ten separate occasions, been caused actual serious offence by things that have been censored on broadcasting, that I happened to be listening to with others around me, and I felt extremely uncomfortable because I thought they meant something far worse than what it later turned out they meant. If only I had known at the time and not found out years after the events too late.
One of them was a Green Day song in which a word, whilst it may be offensive has never had a physical impact on me - indeed the same word is used in the Christmas classic "Fairytale of New York" and on no occasion yet has the uncensored version of that song caused me serious offence, indeed has always been wholly neutral in my home. However, the word was blanked in the television/radio version and it came across as something more "severe", which does and has had, in the past at all, a physical impact on me. Coupled with later blanks in the same song implying and, to my discomfort, trying to cover up other things, it culminated in actual offence and extreme discomfort: I had to leave the venue because of it, unable to talk to anyone about it because of what the issue related to, a few minutes later. That sort of thing has happened on several occasions. Years later, when I've finally heard the original uncensored song, it's turned out nothing as severe as what the radio version, that caused me offence, suggested. "Offence" here is in the severe discomfort/heart-racing etc. sense.
"Fairytale of New York" has never caused me offence at home - I must admit the uncensored version, on only one word, made me feel very slightly heart dip when I was at work. However, I once heard/saw a censored version on a music television channel and it left me extremely upset for several hours afterwards. It sounded horrible and made the way in which the original language still came across much much worse. And it was several parts, every one of which was now problematic. I actually complained about it - it ruined a night-out to the theatre I was then going to as I was caused upset by the broadcasting whilst I was getting ready - and they replied that they had broadcast it like that as it might cause offence in its original form (ignoring the fact that it is a Christmas classic that is often broadcast uncensored and on daytime radio and has never yet, in that uncensored form, as far as I am aware, ever caused offence to anyone or been problematic) and they completely missed the point that the altered version that they had broadcast instead had caused me severe offence.
Please do not try not to offend me, otherwise I will be extremely offended:rotfl:. (I'm joking a bit - years after, the funny side I can see - not good in the actual situation at the time though). It's usually when people say they hope I wasn't offended - and indeed I would not have been - but now am offended, by their comment that they hoped I would not be!0 -

Ok Savvy, I give up and I will go I to lurkdom I don't know what I've done to upset you , I was just posting my experience with Samsung. To be honest, I'm really a bit upset now at your comments.
You've done nothing to upset me and nothing has.
I did consider if what I was posting might upset you, and despite that...!
I'm sorry I've now upset you and sorry that I've not replied soon enough as I was writing away and could not get to see the reply of yours I'm now replying to until just now.
I'm sorry, despite my best attempts, I've failed - I always get myself into misunderstandings:(.
Well, there we are: the forum censor has caused that to happen to your post and me then to reply and upset to be caused.
I'm sorry.
It's like the other day:(. Someone said something and I was fine with it - it wasn't said very loud - and then someone else objected to it and made me then feel uncomfortable (possibly about what was originally said, but then again if they had not objected, I would not have thought about it and got a little bit, tiny bit, not much, bothered).0 -

Some T"£t has smashed our fence and done a bunk!!! Police have called out the helicopter trying to find him but the car is uninsured. I bet the guy has been drinking. 5th time this year (in a different place this time) Car is on the roof and skidded 100 yds, Bet he's going to wake up with a sore neck/ribs or something.
So annoying every time someone does it it cost 100's to repair and a few days of labour. This time probably over £1000 looking at the damage, lucky we had no stock in those fields.

I think I'll just call it quits and leave for now, without meaning any disrespect to anyone (though certain, I feel, to offend someone who feels I'm just leaving now to get away). I'll go before I start getting upset about causing other people upset.
I'm sorry for upsetting anyone. And, don't worry, I'm not getting upset about getting others upset, though I do mean genuinely I am sorry.0 -
