Which store do you shop at? Aldi is very good quality for very similar items.
I'm also assuming £85.20 on headache tablets is a typo. And £8 on two bags? Really? How many teabags do you get through? I'm not a tea drinker btw so literally have no point of reference

OK, my tuppence worth :o here goes

The two of you are out all day ? correct ? so that means, breakfast and packed lunches and dinner

    Wraps - 75p for 6 from A1di
    Cheese - a lot
Mixed Salad - Leafy mixed salad 59p a bag from A1di
    Bananas - 3 for 39p A1di - so you must eat 45 bananas in 4 weeks
Potatoes - as GG said - any farmers near
Tea bags - let you off with that one - as I know you like your specialised tea ;)
Washing up liquid - mine lasts and lasts and lasts - Fairy - does what it says on the tin - lasts longer :p
Headache Tablets - WT?? no way - gives me a headache just thinking about that - as mrsp said - a typo, but somehow - don't think so.

Hope you have an A1di's near you, would make a huge difference :) didn't see bread on there - do you make your own?

Would hate to post mine on here, it would read, crisps, chocolate cake, carrot cake, pancakes, chocolate biscuits, twirls, irn bru, capri sun, more crisps, more biscuits ........... :o
and some things a girl just can't give up - my fresh orange juice from M&S at £2.80 for 1 litre - yummy :D
and my fabric conditioner - when i put my washing on the airer and go into the room some time later - beautiful scent - better than any air freshener. :)

There are always going to be a few things that you just won't compromise on. For me it's Diet Coke - I don't drink, smoke or drink tea/coffee so that's my main vice.
However for staples it really makes little difference. I noticed £4.68 for baked beans - that's a lot! The ones from Ald! are like 40p (not the cheapest ones I don't think) and they taste no different to me than main brands. Either that or you get through 11 tins of beans a month.

Sounds like you're not the guilty party then!
I think I shall keep and record all of my receipts for shopping this month and see what I spend. It'll only be half the picture as me and hubby shop separately most if the time as we have separate bank accounts but I get most of the staples and loo roll.
It'll be an interesting experiment and I can already tell you that I've spent £6.73 on diet coke so far

I have put a few notes on and did multiply the headaches wrong on original but we do suffer migraines frequently (yes we have GP'd it and they were useless)

The problem I have is that food is affluence to OH, to be seen to buy branded goods shows he has money, even if he hasn't, spent 20 years getting him onto savers brands and even now he says "I'm tight", in fact he tells other family members and work colleagues I'm tight, he does not come shopping with me except once a year (when we come back from holiday, bill usually doubles) when I complain I get turned on "that he doesn't have much" As I said in previous posts I am on this journey despite him................I agree that fruit and veg could be bought cheaper BUT it will be me that has to make that trip to another super to get it..................I work full time, run a business on the side, council DD and prop her up, do all the buying (clothes, food, e fag liquid), bill paying, cooking, washing up etc. I even buy car parts!!!! I do the planning, the organising so please forgive me if I don't relish the thought of going to other places to get my fruit veg and potatoes. I have a farmer at the back that sells potatoes and veg but he has let me down a few times so I would have to make an effort to drive on a saturday am (12 miles each way) to the nearest farm shop, but OH doesn't like that farm shop so I would have to find another one.............I make my own bread and cakes mostly too :D:D

Sorry if this comes across as angry I am angry with him, I appreciate all your helpful suggestions :T:T:T...............oh and shock :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

The Mediterranean wraps at Mr M are only 80p for an 8 pack and so tasty!

Also, you should keep an eye out for offers on the Muller as £12 is alot to spend. Last week Mr M was doing 10 for £2, which means you could have bought 60 Muller for £12. ;)
