  • Can I please be put down for £120 for January. Running from 1st - 31st.

Hopefully this is a generous estimate, not done GC for a while and the cupboards are quite healthy looking.

    Thanks

**Can't seem to get the figure to go bold & red? Something to do with installing windows 10 maybe?

    :(

Hi everyone, I need to rein the money in as I'm still getting used to a drop in income (pensioner now) I seem to be spending more than I have coming in but it's fine as I had quite a bit in my accounts, but I really want to save for a holiday in the summer so need to start watching the pennies and stop spending!!! So I aim for £20 a week as there is only me and I'll see how I go on. I will start January 1st and try to make the £80 last until the end so it works out at less than £20!!!!!! eek ....

Hi can I join this challenge please? My income is reducing unexpectedly in January and a couple of household bills are going up so I desperately need to have my grocery spends under control. We tend to live from one week to the next. My budget is a guess at £300 but this has to include pet food, cat litter and baby stuff like nappies, wipes, formula. Roll on January when she is 1 and can have cows milk! My month starts on the 4th on January.
  • Hi all. I'm still in December until 3rd Jan. But I'd like to go down to 250 for Jan please. It's quite a drop but only a 4 week month and so should be doable x
  • Hi, I have been lurking around using this thread as inspiration. Thought I would join this year. To run from 1st to 31st please £150 for 2 adults and a few animals.:rotfl:

We have freezer stocks we are working on running down, so it will be interesting to see how it works out.
  • Oh, I'd like to join in.

We're hopefully moving in the new year and I need to get my finances on track as we're using all our savings for deposit/fees.

I can end up spending a silly amount on food over the month but I'd like to set a budget of £190 pounds for 2 adults and the dog!

Will run from 1st January to 31st January.

  • Count me in too please. We are a family of 4 and I really need to keep my spending on luxury food items under control. My month will be a calendar month starting on the 1st January.

My aim is £160 per month which will include 7 packed lunches a week, all food, toiletries and household cleaning items.

Can I join too please. My month starts on 01/01 and I'll aim for £400 for January. We are 3 adults full time plus one adult part time (uni student).

We're moving house soon so every penny I can save will help fund furniture and fittings for the new place. :)

Hi all, I would like to join, until end of Jan my household will be 3 adults and then will go down to 2 as my son is going to Australia for up to a year. From 1st Jan to 22nd (payday) I will aim for £225 ( 3 weeks) and after that will see how low I can go!
Happy Christmas and a wonderful 2016 to you all!
