    Hi

My target for January is £250

    Thank you

  • Tried a new recipe last night, very simple and didn't take too long to make - creamy baked haddock and tatties. it went down really well, so will add to my recipe folder. Unfortunately, I somehow forgot to buy the cream needed so had to send OH out to get some. I was worried he would come back with other items but he didn't:T Just need to add that cost to my total.

    Morning All,

I am going to be a nuisance! Please can you amend my total to £65.00

Lots of unplanned expenditure has occurred with the house, so there is now less money in the purse. I know it will be tough, but the closest I can stay to £65, the better it will be.

First grocery spend was £11.14 on 2nd January. I am off to do a pantry and freezer check and will menu plan with what is on hand. I know there is some broth mix, so soup will be on the menu this weekend for lunches.

Good Luck all for this month.

£14.93 today. More than I planned to spend, but a few things that I buy every week were on offer, so I've bought them early and stocked up. Also, my daughter has gone back to uni, but managed to pass on her stinking cold to her dad before she went, so I've had to stock up with tissues.

  • My first week is completed as I started slightly earlier due to being paid early and we spent £155 out of our £160 which I'm pleased about. It's ds2's birthday this week, so will keep within budget but his presents won't be included in it.

First spend of the year today £11.93p

£2 at £ world as they had Twinkies and DS has been looking all over for them for weeks! (not on the list, but I had to treat him! :o )
79p in BM for coffee grounds (usually have SBucks or Csta brand at £3.50, so am really hoping this is a good substitute!)
£8.15p in W1lko for Dog food, dish sponges, loo roll and some black fabric tape to mend the (faux leather) sofa as the cushion seams have started to split :( The loo rolls were N0velle (recycled and much preferred brand!) though, 16 rolls for £4.50, so they should last a while!
oh and 99p in Her0n for some FR eggs.

    Total for week £61.44p :)

Really hoping to make it to Saturday with no more spends now! :D

My shopping for food today was £16.66.
Mayo, marmite, milk, ham, noodles, crisps, wraps, primula, lea and perrins, club bars, fruit shoots and shloer.
    Not a healthy shop!
It was the things from B&M.
With last weeks money left over added to this week that leaves £15.22 for the fruit and veg.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

Happy New Year all! (4 days late but it's the thought that counts eh?) hope everyone is well. I am onto my 4th NSD of the month so far, really trying hard to stretch my budget this month, as it's a 6 week month for me (and a lot of others I assume too) I may need some milk (for DD) and bread at some point but I have a £15 M&S gift card from Christmas that I may use for it, I love their porridge so may treat myself to a box of that too
